What's wrong with this picture?

And then there's the Massacre USSs that sometimes spawn to help things along.

I'd say more but apparently we don't talk about those. [where is it]

Yeah, those can break up the murder-grind a bit. Was seeing two kinds: the fish-in-a-barrel kind, and one populated by wizards who magically jump in the exact millisecond you open fire on a ship acting as bait. Because that's a thing apparently, wizard-drive, powered by liquid implausibility.

I noticed the same thing yesterday. Asked on the Lave Radio Discord and was told it was a known bug.

so, currently the BSG has a inadvertent sign reversal problem.

influence gains are negative, missions ask you to kill the wrong side.
its so wide spread, that its probably a single line of code that is wrong, inverting all the mission and BGS calculations.

INF gains going ot the wrong people seems to have seen some major improvement, actually. I don't know if it's fully fixed ye, but we were struggling to figure out what was going on with some inf gains, then the patch came in and suddenly it all started behaving as expected.

ok, i can give an even better screenshot here:

this faction here is literally asking for being massacred.

still wonder what the condition is to get those 30million credit massacre missions?
even though i am allied with many of the factions here, the highest payout is 27 Million Credits for 81 Conflict-zone kills. (again 330k per kill)

i got to try one of those... but given that my recent conflict zone killcount was like max 10 per scenario.

So, if you're in a war against a faction that is offering massacre missions for their own ships, you can accept your enemy's massacre missions AND your faction's massacre missions (to kill your enemy's ships), and every kill you make in a CZ will count as 1 toward BOTH of those massacre missions. Double your credit/mat rewards.

Clearly an exploit. You're on the honor system here, kids! Don't do it!

Sorry but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to spot...looks like a rather bland set of mission from an RNG faction.

Or is it like a spot the ball competition...in which case I still have no idea [where is it]

i wish they would add some gameplay reason for this, like a rival faction has infiltrated the ranks and is offering sabotage missions to tank their influence.

maybe set it up where faction A gives a mission to deliver a spy but in addition you have to assassinate the current leadership to faction B. once completed faction B will offer random missions of sabotage. to remove the spy you would have to locate a black box which uncovers the plot leading to an assassination mission of the infiltrated leadership and new passenger mission to reinstate the correct leadership. maybe make the initial assassination mission only available during the first day when two factions are pending conflict. if the spies are successfully planted in faction B then the war is suppressed but faction A can leapfrog faction B. once removed the two factions would instantly go into conflict an override any other conflicts in progress they be in.

Dunno but, behind the scenes, I think the BGS in LHS 20 is having a meltdown.

Yesterday I arrived in LHS 20 after taking my Keelback to get some engineering done and nothing seemed weird.
Went and did a couple of missions just to test out the changes I'd made to the keelback.
Jumped back into LHS 20 and, as I was flying to Ohm City, I got, literally, a dozen "you are entering/leaving a Combat Zone" messages.
Seemed like almost all of space in LHS 20 was littered with CZs.

That's when I got back to the station and took that screenie.
At that time, it seemed like almost every faction was at war with somebody else.

Before I join in with that stuff, I like to visit a CZ and see who's fighting with who, so I can also take appropriate massacre missions.
Spent about half an hour flying from one CZ to another until I found one involving a faction who I'd be willing to massacre.
Flew back to Ohm City and.... no massacre missions.
Odd.
Swapped to my 'vette, took off and... no more CZs anywhere in the system.

No idea what happened but the whole thing seemed to erupt and then vanish between around 11am and 2pm yesterday.
That's pretty fast for half a dozen wars to start, be fought and then end again.
Also, traffic reports in LHS 20 don't indicate unusually high amounts of player-traffic.

All very strange. [where is it]
