Possibly true. I'm assuming that at some point they flew and potentially landed the 'Conda so they've built up some basic skills. It's difficult to compare really, since I was still in my Sidewinder after a week.
Since the result of that thread was that a similarly experienced player was happy with the Krait, I'm assuming the same may apply. You're right though. Perhaps the advice should be to try the Krait and if it's still too much of a handful, drop down further to one of the ships you mentioned.
I doubt they've ever landed the Anaconda, they probably tried to take off, and if they even managed to get through the slot in less than 5 minutes to avoid the station shooting them down, they went to get interdicted by a Sidewinder and lost it 5 seconds later.

I've never been blown up in my 'Conda...
But then it has never been further than out & back in to the station... it was close though
(been blown up in most of my other ships though... sometimes not even by other players/NPC's)
It's why I keep my ships, takes longer to get the money and subsequently the ships, but if I lose the biggest one I always have the next one down...
Oh and, as I haven't seen it yet (not paid that much attention)...

In any case... we need to know now, so we can judge correctly whether to offer advice, or to mock relentlessly, or to just wag fingers at another troll.

We could do with a bit more of a story from the OP. I don't think they could have saved up the money for a 'Conda without moving to a medium ship at some point during the week, although that still could mean they only landed on outposts. I was being optimistic, but you're probably right with what led up to exploding.
Never buy a ship if you don't have enough for insurance. Primary game rule.
You can do core mining in a Cobra. Doesn't take too many loads of Void Opals to buy a basic Annie.
Macallen is in my opinion unbeatable as Scotch, although Islay is a completely different equal. Some of the Japanese stuff is just as incredible - give it a try!
As for ISP's - they are all <expletives> completely unable to <expletives> despite contracts promising <expletives> demanding <expletives>. Don't even get me started on the 22-pair story.
I do enjoy the whisky though

This one is just a Glenlivet Founders Reserve... It's perhaps not the best, but it's nice enough.

Only replying because i found my first threat 4 signal source the other day. I got wasted in seconds thats just stupid. Ended up without rebuy as well after recovering.

Edit.. this was for a salvage mission signal source.. i think i had less than a minute from dropping before my hull reinforced type-10 was dead. i guess people have brought this up before.
