Silly corvette build

I want to make a silly corvette build, and I could use pointers on the PAs and distributor engineering...
I want to keep the packhounds because I love em...
Pointers please!

Either equip 6 more docking computers or remove the one.

When you say silly do you mean actually silly? The presence of the word silly along with a docking computer on a corvette makes me think you are lulz'ing us in which case I'd say just swap every optional internal out for more module reinforcement.

If you actually want real advice: no use in having a size 7 SLF hangar, switch to a size 6. then you run 2x7A SCB instead of one, google how to double bank two SCBs with one heat sink. Now you've got like a billion more HP. In order to jiggle things around to fit this though you need to lose the docking computer.

Like 10 other things but mostly that thing.

Link isn't working for me.

However, barring very specialized needs, you almost always want charge enhanced + super conduits on your distributor.

Yeah he's got wep focus instead and low thermal resists, like I said there are probably 10 tweaks off the top of my head if I wasn't so tired.

But until he confirms it's not a lulz build (due to docking computer) I'm not going to type it all out.

Link doesn't work for me either.

Nothing wrong with a docking computer in a PvE build. When I chain BGS missions I often swap one in, gives a nice coffee break or whatever when at the next station.
Not required but still useful.

Docking computer cause I'm lazy. :p
I don't actually know what to engineer my distributor for, and I know that resistance gets diminished returns so I didn't put many +resists.

OK I halp then b/c link works for me.

I am going to throw away the docking, if you're that lazy well then isn't rebuy good because you save a few jumps getting back to station? If you really need the docking, remove the smallest MRP I guess. Please note if you fly in open, many gankers consider the presence of a docking computer on a corvette more motivation than a billion credit bounty to kill you. I could easily see someone post on the PS4 discord "yo this dude has a DC on his vette" and like 7 gankers with anger issues who normally hate each other unite just to blow you up as violently as possible.

This is biased for PvP. If PvE, swap the engr on the SCBs to the other one, and swap a heat sink for a KWS.

Most notable changes = massively more HP on hull. Shield has better resists and while less "normal HP" more "effective HP" due to additional SCB, you will need to get l33t skills though to double bank them (honestly it's like 20 minutes practice by yourself in solo outside jameson until you get the timing right). Much faster shield recharge too.

Still room for improvement on this build but if you study the changes I think you will have a good time and learn some tricks. For a truly good build, one needs to know the exact purpose of it, which is still unclear to me.

Please don't change the name. I did help, didn't I? And "Zarek Null's Beneficence" really rolls off the tongue.

LOL
Well... in that case I might be wearing a big fat KILL ME sign on my back every so often, cause I'm sometimes in the easy-going mode as well.
I'm not worried.

Sounds slightly in favour of shields, isn't it?
But only mine launchers? How close do you need to get in order to be effective?

Ok if it's happy hour (and yes I know you can't even actually make this build in game):

10 docking computers with 2x5d MRP in mil slot to protect them. This way you have 9 layers of redundancy if they start module sniping your docking computer.

Get rid of shields, their science waves can interfere with docking computers' gryoscopes.

All chaff, because a cluster of 10 properly overclocked docking computers will know how to spin and fire chaff as a greeting to the station, inspiring trust. This super computing cluster can also calculate pi to 1E999999999 digits in the time it takes to dock, which gets you exploration data packages to turn in.

Abrasion blasters because they actually do damge (video proof on request) and are marginally easier to land against a skilled opponent than mines are.

Gotta up the life support because your docking computer will still work if your canopy breaks.

LR G5 sensors only way to go, so that you can see that station you're going to dock at even from 3 systems over.

l33t docking achieved.

A while ago I wanted to make the most agile Corvette I could, keeping speed above 300 / 400 boost. The first attempt (in Engineers v.1) ran from a 4A powerplant OC G5 (i.e. made of paper), two lightweight cannons, a 4Ly jump range (that was boosted by synthesis), low power shields, you name it (as in name what was not in this death-trap). It was scary to fly, could leave you stranded with its 4 ton fuel tank.

I gradually improved it until it became a fun PvE ship- very fast, very agile...but frankly it was pointless mainly as it acted as a giant Vulture, impossible to miss.

After that, I then bought another and made a hull-tank Corvette which was fun, if slow and pointless. I eventually made it a hybrid shield hulltank, but because it was such a large target that was a non starter too.

So, sadly, after lots of fun I simply made my Corvette as others do- although ED gives you the tools to have fun and made each ship individual at the same time each ship still has an 'ideal' configuration that it can't live outside.

That. Is. Awesome. LOL ~28K (effective) Absolute MJ of shield. smh. (just don't let anyone near you with reverb cascade!)

Heat cannons (fragile OC PP), fletchettes, possibly a ton of phasing too might also cause problems.

And of course a murder wing.

but yeah that's a v shieldyboi for sure
