What Quarterly Q.o.L. Maintenance Updates would you like to see ?

The whole ATC/Station interaction thing is ripe for review and could raise immusion levels if fleshed out a bit.

Speeding / Boosting in Station - Bribery/ATR response
Give way to larger vessels - yeah that's working /not
Landing Priority / Queue - Bribe/Status*
Docking Fee's - Status*
Station System Access Fee's - Status*
Notoriety - Restricted access based on Gov Type (Bribery)

How about a pilots rest area (for use with Space Legs (if)) for busy stations / bulletin board for wing requests etc (yes I know we have in system chat now I'm thinking flesh on bones here)

*Refers to Unfriendly -Allied scale

The notoriety thing could work both ways higher granting access service levels at some stations based on Gov't type - Re Moss Isley

Probably 3 things come to mind:

1. Something that adds new discoverable "stuff" in game with clues but not give away locations in the codex
2. Some means to interact with things in interesting ways
3. Something that improves on the drudgery that is long distance travel
 
QoL updates I would like:
  • Better Bookmarks management
  • Search areas for POI's instead of pinpoint locations (you get the pinpoint location after scanning the POI). Maybe have a wave scanner type thing in the ship to find the POI's.
  • Small seismic charges
  • CQC bots
  • Waymarkers in the orrery
  • Planetary markers to navigate too on a planet if you have the co-ordinates. Co-ordinates and markers should be shareable.

On the top of my head right now is this one, that annoys me the most.
- to be able to see mapped and unmapped status without having to have to go to system map, maybe in target info of planet?

I'll add my voice to the Universal Limpet Controller calls.
That is less QoL and more feature though, so perhaps a bit outside the remit of the topic.
That said, if FD wanted to they could do this quickly (for some definition of quickly) by simply (for some definition of simply) adding a low capability version of all limpet controller types to all ships by default. Give them rubbish range, duration and single limpet operation but it would work.
You'd still have to do things via fire control group like now (which would make that list long) and you'd still have to use limpets as cargo (I think they should be ammo) but it would give all ships a basic capability and you could still use better dedicated controllers to add improved operation - something you'd still really want to do in most cases you are using them in earnest.
Doing this would give people more of a chance to try out different gameplay scenarios more easily, still reward specialisation and stop us all from going on about it for a while...
They could then build out from there with improved control schemes, limpets as ammo and some ship type specialisations based on better/worse basic capability. Or not. But we'd have something :)

Scanning through this thread I get the impression that most of you don't really understand what "maintenance cycle" really means.

I expect nothing significantly game changing.

Maybe it was just the excitement for trying out the new stuff in 3.3, but two months ago I was really jazzed about getting back into the game. Now I'm pretty much back where I was prior to the update - no real motivation to login.

I think I'll just go back to watching from afar.
 
Storged Engineered Module managment. Module naming. custom folders to put different builds into.
The ability to send modules/ships ahead of me or towards other stations without me going there first and summoning them.

This, this, this and this.

But particularly and most of all that:

And the ability to transfer modules between ships without having to "load" the ship.
 
Better bookmark management (bookmarks in nameable folders, ability to toggle display of entire folder or individual bookmarks - see existing galaxy map trade filter interface, ability to easily see what an individual bookmark on the map actually is).

An option to disable the proximity warning. I'm trying to learn FA Off and a lot of the training necessitates flying very close to objects so I have to constantly hear that annoying sound. This may already exist but if so I haven't found it.
 
I’d like the ability to use multiple filters on the galmap. For example, if I want to filter my route by unvisited systems, I’d also like to add, say, unpopulated systems.
