Proposal Discussion Eranin Preemptive Strike in I Bootis

myself and SwitchV are in the same instance, nobody else here though :(

dont forget to accept your friend requests before joining :)

Combat report I Bootis B/C

Met an Anaconda at Chango, then on to I Bootis B/C where after a few attempts to join a populated instance met up with ~5 others.

Did some damage from my Anaconda (at least one Lakon and many fighters down), but the feds didn't really fight back. Gathered a big bounty for myself, so had to bug out to Eranin space to pay off.

Worked OK, but in future should have picked up any Bulletin Board missions re removing Feds and make friend requests first to aid instancing. Not all commanders are replying to text comms so coordinating is difficult.

I feel there may have been some gmt bst time issues on this one !

Im out here with CMDR Frycat keeping an eye on things at the twins... you know, making sure they don't sneak off! Hopefully see you all soon.

Group is departing Chango Docks to for the staging area.

The Federation possibly got wind of our efforts through their security vessels scanning our ships and picking up chatter.

They seemed to have deployed some sort of counter measure for those of us engaging supercruise the leave the stations orbit, causing complete failure of hyperdrives and computer systems, requiring full systems reboots and diagnostics.

We're back on the move.

I came along to document the battle and I saw a Federal ship that had decided the best course of action was to try and destroy the twin stars!!!

Fortunately Cmdr. Dexter Wolf and a Cobra, who's name I didn't catch, were there to stop this diabolical plan.

The group consisting of our Eranin sympathizers made a massive dent in the staging area of the Federation's military fleet, pushing the forces to a point that the commanders found themselves without targets for a few seconds before a new batch of reinforcement were warped in. CMDR Andy Bullman and CMDR Elvis Kremmen both backed the Eranin strike team with their Anacondas, causing the Federation forces to reel back as the two large ships jumped in with several wings of fighters at their sides.

Both CMDR Mel Corium and CMDR Dexter Wolf immediately went to work disabling both the Lakon-9 Weapon platforms, which meant the federation lacked weapons during the fight.

Both of the patrolling Anacondas within the staging area quickly deployed hard points and sent commands to waves of Federation Condors that were quickly turned to clouds of debris by CMDR BoldRover and CMDR Colt with their mix of multicannons and fixed cannon weaponry.

The battle continued wave after wave of Federation reinforcements during which time the Strike team continues to pound into them without mercy.

An estimated total of ~100,000Cr worth of fines were issued the the pilots for the initial attack, but at the end of the show engagement a collective bounty of over 1.1million credits had been racked up by the Eranin Strike team. This alone made it impossible for a few of the commanders to even attempt to dock in Federation systems.

A few of the commanders however were already skilled and knowledgable on bypassing Federation blockades and docking scans, making the whole situation more ironic by docking in federation stations to re-arm and repair.

The overall effect of the attack has yet to have been felt by the population of the Federation as such a prolonged and well sustained strike was made to cripple the reinforcement ability of the Federation's attacks on the Eranin system and it's citizens.

One of the commanders has, though it's questionable if this will negatively effect the outcome or perhaps increase the possibility of further strikes and help bolster Eranin numbers, a raw recording from his pilot's helm that shows the attack in all it's glory.

[ Special thanks to CMDR Blain Crighton who brought the idea to life on the forums and to the 15thMEU Arma 3 Realism unit for allowing voice comms on their TS to help coordinate and organize the event. Also, Thanks to the Frontier Development crew for creating that spot in space where such a thing could happen, we hope you guys like it and will continue to give chances like this a future within the Elite universe and your game.]

Ah, there is still lot of work for FD ... had quite a few ctds, connection losses, rubberbanding and problems meeting you folks.

But: fun anyway!
Lost some Cobras, but the Feds certainly don't like me anymore - great fun indeed! :)

a tip for next time, before entering battle everyone should set crime detection to 'Off' to avoid team mates turning red if they should hit you by accident.

Tha really was the most fun I had for a long time.
And it was an honour to fight for the freedom of Eranin alongside so many fine pilots.
Right on commanders.

yeah, like I mentioned in Boldrover's video towards the end when some one made that same comment, we were all excited about the strike and didn't even think about it till 3/4th's of the way through.

Damn good fun, thanks for those that made it and had fun. Maybe we'll get enough strike team up and going next week or something.

Eranin State won't just sit back and be steam rolled by Federations whipcrack tactics.
