Well, i guess you'll have to wait for the 'yes' vote from FD for that one. Personally, I'd prefer the St George's Cross to the Union Jack, which is not horrible imo.

Hopefully they wont offer religous symbols either ,that could make things rather interesting
I think we should have the option instead of having a bobblehead on the dashboard, we could have a round metal tin of travel sweets (that your space parents only let you have when you're going on holiday).

An image of a tin of sweets sitting on the dashboard tantalisingly out of reach. That would drive me crazy.

But then one could also look at it like this: A ship running the Union Jack might attract a lot of "attention" from the surrounding isles.
Future paintjobs featuring flags should be what faction you choose in the game. Nothing more than that.

I'm pretty sure (although I haven't checked) that all the flags are national i.e. of a nation state. Neither Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland are countries, even though they are referred to as such all the time.
It simply would not make sense, and indeed may cause unnecessary political bullshìt, to represent all possible regional flags (e.g. Cornwall, Basque, Quebec, etc.). National flags on their own can cause enough problems anyway in many cases.
Personally I barely consider myself British, let alone English (having been born in and raised in England) and the invisible lines only seen on maps don't seem to help the human race very much. I find the flags jingoistic but I understand why they exist in terms of FD revenue and I'm certainly not going to demand their removal. I still don't like them though and won't be buying any of them.

You live on the island called Great Britain, so that makes you British. It's actually the UK you don't like, not the island you live on.

I am living close to "Angeln".

i can see the Welsh flag being popular, the English flag would also be a big plus

Unfortunately there's a ridiculously romantic vision of an independent Scotland that only benefit scroungers and the idle rich can afford to live with, while everyone one else will have to suffer the consequences.
Perhaps make a poll to see who wants a Scottish flag in the game ?
Perhaps we should add the flag of the northernmost part of Germany "3 rows in blue white and red colors". It is the flag of the federal state of Schleswig Holstein, the original state of sax and Angeln.
Then you only need one flag instat of 3 or 4, for Scotland, Wales, etc..
Hmm if I closely think about it, I would like to see that flag in the game also.
