It's a bug?

Hi people, I want to know if this is a bug on the planet coaster or not. I have an area that is connected with a steam train, in this area I have some rides and 2 coasters, but the people only go to one coaster, few visits going to the other coaster. There is even an attraction (Rocktopus) where any visitor go. I think there should be more presence of families in the game or visitors going to gentle rides.

I found that sometimes it matters how far that area from the entrance is. I gathered from what you wrote that not a lot of people are visiting the "Kiddie" Area. First check how many families are in your Park. Are you charging for the Transportation? Could be that you will have to make it free. If there are Coasters in the vacinity, Flatrides seem to be less popular.

There's a couple of things to check with that.

Firstly, what are the prestige ratings like for the rides they are not going to? Guests usually go to higher prestige rides more than lower prestige rides and prestige is affected both by ride experience (including scenery) as well as the queue scenery.

Secondly, what are the Excitement/Fear/Nausea ratings? Guests try and stay within what they can tolerate.

Hi Shane, first of all thanks for the answer.

The prestige of the attractions, including the roller coaster where they do not go, is between 3-4 stars. About excitement, nausea and fear is very much like the coaster where they go.

Here I have a picture of the area, the yellow arrow it's the coaster where they go:

Cheers

looks to me that you need more scenery around the queue and actual ride of the other coaster and things should change

Really? Sorry then, I not saw the duplicate thread, this is my first thread about this issue anyway. [heart]

Ok I'll try to do that, anyway the rides that are inside the castle zone have good decoration and not many visitors.

For example, The Victory, have 100% quality in decoration and few visitors:

I'd suggest checking the ride scenery information on the testing tab as well (second tab along) on that properties box as this may help pinpoint if more is needed to raise the prestige level of the ride.

Where I can find the testing tab? It's this?:

That is the testing tab but for some reason it doesn't include the ride scenery rating. It may be a process of trial and error to find what scenery around the ride increases the prestige (you will also have the ability to alter the ride animation via the far right tab).

In fact in any ride of my park appears what you say. [sad]

Then what should I do?

The prestige is a bit contradictory, there are rides, like the ride that I will post now, that have a magnificent scenery and the prestige is low, instead I have a roller coaster with a lousy scenery that has good prestige.

I know that the peep experiencie of each ride affects to good to the prestige, but we are on the same problem, if they not go to these rides the prestige will be affected negatively.

People go where things of interest are, you have no stalls/scenery in that section. It's not a bug you just need to build more

From looking at your pics,
- your park and rides are veeeeeery spread out, there's a lot of distance to travel between rides and stalls. Do you have an overview pic of your whole park?
- flat rides will have lower prestige compared to coasters/tracked rides. Add more sequences to the flat ride and that will give you a good boost in prestige. Keep it between 2-3 minutes.
- if you're charging for rides, queues are going to be smaller than charging park entry. If charging, higher prices will result in more guests going broke and wasting their time in your park.
- turn ride aging on. it's more beneficial getting your rides to "classic" status than keeping it off (unless others have observed no difference, my assumption is classic increases queues)
- do you have any rides that are popular?

Hi cerealfruitcakes, thanks for the info!

I tried to increase the sequences and effectively, that goes up the prestige, for example I have the Ferris wheel where literally haven't any visitor, instead as the sequence went up the queue quickly filled up:

The price of the rides is very varied, but never exceeds $15, and the park entrance cost $20.

While it is true that the rides are a bit far (in that area) this is only a test that I did, anyway I have seen visitors who were at the beginning of the park and without any problem their thoughts were to go to an attraction that was at the end of the park, So I think the visitors in this game have the perfect ability to know the whole park from the beginning. Anyway, I do not think it is a problem of distance, as I said there are attractions that are at the beginning of the park, in a busy area, and they do not ride up. Besides, for that I put the train, right? [big grin]

Here I have a picture of the whole park (it's under construction yet):

Yes, I have popular rides, Of which stand out the electric cars:

The log flumes:

And in general all the coasters.

This is because these rides have very high prestige (practically all the stars). The solution is that, raise the prestige, as you well inform me, at least for 2-3 minutes. ^^

Yes, but this zone, for example, have shops and isn't much popular:

Yes, I'm charging for transport, but very little. I have about 30% of families.

2$.

The prestige is not very high, true, but that area has a roller coaster with 3 stars of prestige.

Excuse me for being harsh, but from your screenshots, your park looks like a desert. Scenery around all your rides would significantly boost prestige and visitors to every ride with it. So not a bug, just a park with a building next to some of the rides. Go for 5 star coasters and 4 star flat rides.

A desert? Sure? xD

Do not be confused, the park seems deserted in the air photo because the configuration, because when we zoom out the peeps "disappear." If you look, the number of visitors I have is just over 9,000, in a small park like mine is not bad. [tongue]

I can assure you that, without counting that roller coaster and attraction in the distance, all other attractions in my park are 100% decorated. That increases the prestige, but what rises the prestige is to increase the sequences of each attraction, so that at least lasts between 2-3 minutes as well said a companion above. ^^
