Alpha Livestream 3: Fast-track - Wednesday 7PM BST

Hi.

Will there be heart-lining for coasters? Where the track's banking rotates around a raised spline (where the riders heads/hearts are). This will directly dictate the standard of coasters we can build, and ease of building. Especially from those of us coming from No Limits.

Amazing work so far guys, I hope you can answer this question or at least address it.

Two more questions:

1. Will we get cable cars? (for going up those massive hills I want to create)
2. Will we get monorails or similar (old fashioned steam train track ride for example)

Thanks

Show Control

Thanks so much for the great job you're all doing. Now that I've seen what Planet Coaster is capable of there is one thing I can't stop thinking about: Show Control. Every theme park has it, sometimes it's obvious and sometimes it's not. Here's how I'd love to see it implemented.

Syncing scenery with rides, i.e. when a ride vehicle passes a user-determined point on a track a light will go on or off until it hits another point on the track, or a flamethrower will blast, or a water spout will trigger, etc.

Animated robotic arms that you can attach scenery too. You could have something simple like a light that rotates back and forth, or complex like having a dinosaur or some pre-made scenery pop out and knock over a bunch of trees as a ride vehicle goes by.

A few other things I was wondering about...
-Can we fix scenery items to ride vehicles? For example, fix the fire effect to the back of a coaster.
-Resizing scenery items
-Importing images (.png or .jpeg)
-Individual blocks of wall sections (maybe for creating rubble or fine-tuning your buildings)
-Will low-lying areas flood if it rains?
-Will there be a dam effect with water? Like for creating waterfalls, or rides that involve flooding
-Can peeps go rogue/stray from paths? Will security catch them?

You've done a tremendous job so far and I'm so thankful. This game is like reliving my childhood, only better. And I had a great childhood.

Will I have to pay for Alpha 2 because I have had more than my monies worth of fun already from Alpha 1!!!! [gaga][wacky][hehe]

Though it may not apply to the criteria,

We've seen so so much on the building, decorating and simulation of the park and it all looks fantastic, new and really creative.

I'd like to know though, if possible, do you have ideas that will really make the scenarios of the game interesting or if there even will be a scenario at all.

How are we able to theme our rides? (color, scenery)

Can you show us the flatride sequencing tool you talked about in one of your livestreams?

Are we able to trigger an action by a coaster?

Will there be dodgem cars implemented in alpha 2 or release?

Will we be able to remove the fences around the flatrides and make our own decorations and fences?

Can you show us some/one waterrides?

Will there be ready coasters?

Thank you for your amazing work and for your answer

Several Quick Questions Here:

1) Will there be light occlusion? In other games and in the current alpha, light shines THROUGH walls including sunlight and moonlight. Will this be addressed so we can better make dark rides, tunnels, and other such indoor facilities with different rooms?

2) Will there be sound occlusion? We will need sound occlusion so we can do dark rides and just buildings in general. In the queue for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, for example, you can't hear the trains launching or the onride soundtrack; when you get to the launching room, you can't hear the outside music loop or guests outside, etc....

3) Will there be custom content in the future (no rush, but it's very much wanted by many in the community)? Such as custom track types, custom coaster trains/transport/dark ride vehicles, custom scenery, custom particle effects and so on?

4) Will there be single rider, fast pass (or fast lane/quick queue) and standby line differentiation? And does this finally mean that, in the future, we can make working preshows and even split queues (such as how Dragon Challenge at IOA has 1 line that splits into 2 lines at the station and same thing with Space Mountain WDW)?

5) Can there be isometric views and advanced coaster building for the realistic simulator fans such as G force combs, speed combs and so on? Many people out there really want to bring together theme park design with realistic coaster design and there's not much out there that blends the two...

Thanks for your responses and I look forward to alpha 2!

I'm probably a bit late with the questions...and I already asked them on Reddit....(except the last one)

1 - Fatter/wider auto-tunnelling for coaster track building? The tunnel seen on IGN was rather narrow.
2 - Wooden Coaster?
3 - Sci-Fi theme?
4 - Does Ed Lewis have a Peep in-game?

Have dueling coasters been talked about? Will we be able to sync stations to build them? What about building two coasters at the same time, but in opposite directions?

I will be unable to attend to the live stream, sorry, my guy have booked movie for a while ago, X-men flick. So I will be back later demanding latest info. :) Maybe you can do kind of transcribe/notes meanwhile? [yesnod][up][wink]

Thanks for addressing the generic ride questions (and indeed highlighting mine [woah] )

So pleased generic rides will now be in there [big grin]

I think the idea of 'marquee rides' is also a good balance [yesnod]
