If it was Disney licensed content then I could see the appeal, but none of these have grabbed my attention I'm sad to say. But that's the great thing about DLC isn't it, if I don't like it I don't have to buy it! I'll probably pick it up once it's on sale to have a "complete" game, and to make sure I can download all blueprints. I just feel like they are bit limiting? Unless you want a BTTF, Munsters, KR themed park/area? I guess I'll have to wait and see if the community comes up with something creative that makes me change my mind :]

I'm loving all the rides added in the free update though, I'm not entirely a downer!

Frontier, how about some community recognition for the hard work all your users put into making the items you featured in the DLC updates?

For example the Back to the Future trilogy map which I made is used in all your screenshots and videos.
Or credit to Jorgpot for making the 1955 town hall.

For those who haven't experienced my BTTF trilogy map, I am updating it for the DLC now.

/edit: Here is the DLC version of my BTTF park:

I always do my best to stay positive and thank you on everything you do for the game and all you give us as well for free!
Yes I gladly bought all 3 new downloads to show appreciation and support the game.

BUT I don't know about anyone else but the new Guest notifications about ineffective Food & Drink stalls can go bye bye. I already want to be a sniper in my own park and pop every guest that says they are hungry and thursty but refuse to spend money on anything but SPECIAL MADE rides! Flat rides all dead & they hang out & fight for ques on special rides water & track style & go hungry & thirsty until they can ride the rides they want.
Also seems to be an increase in thieves in a half hour, my time, crime went up 50%.

So far my only opinion on this latest update is a lot needs to be repaired or pulled!

I'm always positive about all of your work but a few things here & there eventually get on your nerves as a player.

I think if you just could even out the likes & dislikes in foods & drinks it would help a lot. I can easily fill my park with water only stalls & never have an issue with thirst. Same with Burgers & Taco's the rest of the stalls can be removed from my park.
Since the update everyone is screaming all food and drinks cost too much every single monthly report shows ALL OF MY SHOPS COST TOO MUCH!
Also I went from 4 in park pick pocketed victims to 55 of them in less than a half hour of my play time. since the update.

No flat ride has anyone on them and constant complaints that ques are too long and always full for all track and water rides. Introducing new flat rides are mute if customers only fight to get on other custom rides. Coasters make a profit, magic cats and slot style antique cars, long flumes and rapids make great profits. ALL flat rides in the negative all drinks in the negative except Pipshot water. All food in the negative except Chief Beef and Mexican since the new update.

Back to the Future go karts you say?!

Purchased [up]

How will it work?
If you do not want to purchase any additional content, that’s fine! You’ll be able to toggle them on or off by using the ‘lock button’ right next to the in-game search bar.

Does this work? Whether I have it selected or not the same items appear, anything not bought doesn't show in-game which I get the impression is how it should be (unless I'm missing something)

Is there a way to change existing go carts from other saved blueprints to these new types?

exactely what I tried to do as well :)
I hope we will be able to change existing Go-Karts with the new theming of the Karts - redoing a complete track and redoing all the triggers would be a real pain :-(

Or am I just to dumb to find out how this already works??

Will buy the 3 DLC's shortly, out of interest, where's everyone getting them from, Frontier Site, or Steam, I've been here since before Alpha, so I guess Frontier would be best, keeps everything nice and tidy then :)

the munsters set is really cool, cause there are so much pieces for a horror theme. I love the new lights...

But I really hope, there will be not so much small dlc.. dont want to pay so much money to get all the pieces in my game..

please make bigger expansions.. like a carnival expansion with a lot of new flatrides, shows, entertainer, coaster, trackrides, scenery..
A Go Cart with a bit scenery is a bit too little...

Not sure if I like these DLC packs. If I look at all 3 combined it's not a lot of stuff you're getting for your money. it's not worth it unless you really like the themes of these DLC packs, but I honestly think it's not interesting enough to spend my money on. That's just my opinion.

The thing that bothers me a little is that this is probably the reason we can't get custom made content in the game. Otherwise people wouldn't buy these packs if that was possible. In the long run I don't think this is the best choice for the game. People that buy this game in a year will have to spend even more money on small DLC packs to enjoy all blueprints and content. These 3 packs are already 9$ so if they add another few packs it will quickly get expensive. I would've liked to see big add-ons a lot more than these small DLC packs with specific themes that will quickly get too expensive if you want all content from the game.

A "season pass" so you can get all the DLC coming within the next year for 1 price might change my mind btw

Thank you very much for these little updates/DLC. I am glad to see some items like that, especially that we don't only get new kart cars but also those scenery items (why is there no Knight Rider sign like that from Back to the Future).

Like others, I hope for some bigger updates like an expansion pack.

By the way ... isn't the JURASSIC PARK brand from UNIVERSAL, too?! :D:D:D I would be VERY happy, if we get a Jurassic Park DLC, soon (with lots of animatronics, farn bushes, fences etc.) I know, that we already have fences and buildings in the Workshop but they consist of too many items.

Keep on going, Frontier. Thank you guys 'n girls for this awesome game and all those updates, fixes and new content - we need more scenery items, bushes, trees and plants, though :]:]:]

I like the licensed content, but the stuff from each of the 3 packes could be more. When you have the license, how about some music/soundtrack, some Animatronic's, more typical buildings from "Back to the Future" for example, from the 3 movies, for fast placement.

But generally, it is great, hope there will be more soon, but please more stuff in the DLC.

Microtransaction DLCs should not effect the workshop.

With the Thrillseeker edition we got a Gold Avatar Crown and a Gold Entertainer. The great thing about the Thrillseeker add-on was that it did not effect the workshop. If I place a Gold Entertainer in my park and share the park on the workshop, other players who do not have thrillseeker would still be able to download the park and the entertainer would switch back to being non-gold.

When Frontier first announced DLC they called it "cosmetic" which made a lot of people wonder what that meant. Some of us thought it would be Avatar Clothing, or new colors for Entertainer clothing. Things that would not effect the workshop.

I do love this game, and I do think Frontier is one of the most engaging developers I have ever seen (by far). But when I played RCT3 it was not fun trying to download a park that contained various CSO (Custom Scenery Objects), and this new style of Microtransaction DLC has me nervous about the workshop turning into a messy catalogue of "You need DLC to access this" and "Which DLC am I missing?"

Please note that each Construction Kit is completely optional for you to purchase!

The only thing I was ever forced to purchase in my life was car insurance, because it is the law. I have never felt like anything I purchased was not optional. Of course purchasing a video game is totally optional

But in this case, you are not being very fair. If I want full access to the game, and full access to the workshop blueprints that people create, than this DLC is absolutely mandatory (still optional) but a very big requirement for full access to the game.

Its like saying "you bought the base game, but now you have to pay more for the special access" which would be fine, if the quality was better. In RCT3 if I bought the base game I got everything that was included with the base game, and if I wanted to buy the expansions there were only 2 I had to worry about. How many DLCs will Planet Coaster have? I don't mind the fact that I have to pay for add-ons, I just dont want 100 microtransaction small DLC packs that only contain a few good items.

Its not fair how you put one good object in each pack (a transparent window) when that is something many people have been requesting in the base game :( but no entertainers, no shops or wall pieces, no sound clips, like really? How you not give us a complete scenery pack? I would be willing to pay more if the DLC packs were complete, but I wont support microtransactions

You are still not forced into purchasing anything regardless. The thing is these are not required in order to play and enjoy the actual full main game (excluding workshop/mods). Playing with mods is not mandatory either. Plenty of games out there do the same thing and DLC content may affect workshop items but in no way for those games does it affect the actual main game content.

Cities Skyline does this and it is as simple as I cannot use a map or custom building that has DLC I do not own. I am not going to come here acting like a kid and whine that I can't have access to all the "free community modded" content because I chose not to purchase DLC to support the actual game/development of that game. At no time does Paradox require me to purchase DLCs to play a full complete game.

You may not feel these are complete DLC kits in your opinion and that is your argument to not purchase and support more DLC content, this is a valid point if others have that same opinion as you do.

The typical whine of I can't have everything I want in every game I own because I refuse to purchase extra content is simply a poor and lame reason. Completionists rant when they purchase a game well after it is released because they cannot get access to every piece of content the game had in the earlier days and/or exclusive items and they spend more time complaining than simply enjoying what they have.

It's not hard to support a developer when they release 7 full patches with tons of free expanded content for anyone who owns the game, especially when the price value is so minor, but this is my opinion and I of course do not expect everyone to see things the same way. I will not however go on a rant about it if I chose not to purchase it.
