The "Can I Run Planet Coaster" thread

Okay, not sure what I'm meant to be looking for but my settings read:

Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60 GHZ
4.00 GB
64 bit x64 based processer.
Intel R HD Graphics 4000

Thoughts?

Is a laptop.

That system is going to struggle to run PC alpha unfortunately. You're a bit low on RAM (recommended is 8GB), the CPU is a dual core (recommended quad core i5) and the graphics is an integrated solution. :(

Hi. I've figured out that I need a new graphics card in order to run this (I currently have a ATI Radeon HD 4800). Do i need anything else to run this properly?

My current system:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU EA400 @ 3.00Ghz (2 CPUs) 3.00Ghz
RAM: 8 GB
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

What kind of level can i run this game at?

I am seriously thinking about buying this game but i was wondering what sort of level i could run it at.

CPU: I5 4690K
RAM: 8GB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 970
OS: Windows 10

any help would be much appreciated alot!

I'm on the same CPU and GPU as you and I'm maxed out at 1080p and it runs perfectly, I have 16GB RAM but that won't make a difference based on how little memory I've seen the game using.

Are there any other pre-built desktops which could be recommended for those searching for an upgrade? I am still exploring options but would like to upgrade to a new computer fairly soon.

this computer is a amazing prbuilt if your willing to pay for it, this company is where i got my pc and they have amazing support. all of theyre computers are built with futureproofing in mind, so your getting the latest and greatest tech around. most other prebuilts i have seen are charging way to much for what you get or are much lower end tech thats getting pretty old. hope this helps

So bottom line, if you want to run the game on medium specs (1080p is not necessary) what is the minimum AMD RADEON HD graphics card that you can use? I have a decent system but my graphics card is 4 years old (AMD Radeon HD 7500). I have no problem running things like Sims 4, Cities Skylines, Roller Coaster Tycoon World Beta, etc. However, this site is giving a lot of mixed messages on who can successfully run the game and who cannot.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely keep this one in mind.

You guys think my laptop can run it? As long as I can play on low to medium settings I will be happy.

CPU: Intel Core i7 2670QM @ 2.20GHz
Ram: 6GB (Upgrading to 8GB tomorrow)
Graphics: 1023MB Nvidia GeForce GT 630M 1G
Storage: SanDisk SSD
OS: WIndows 10

Hi, I was wondering if my computer could run Planet Coaster.

Windows 8.1 64-bit
Intel Core i5 processor 4440
XFX - Core Edition Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card
8GB DDR3 Memory

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

I'm considering buying a new laptop. A gaming laptop, because I'm so sick of my old laptop and iMac, I can never play games like I want to play games.
So, I am considering buying the ASUS Rog GL552VW-CN471T.

Intel Core i7-6700HQ
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 1 TB HDD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M (2GB)
Windows 10 Home

My question is, because I don't know much about requirements etc... Will I be able to play Planet Coaster on high settings on this laptop?

Thanks in advance! :)

sorry my friend, your gpu will not be able to run this game eficciently :(

thats pretty expensive for the hadware that your paying for , while i do always recommend desktops, if your sick of your desktop and want a laptop, thats fine. i would however recommend getting a desktop from digital storm as you can get a better cpu for what you pay for :)

Thanks @Gorillage for your advice, but I think I will go for a laptop. But do you think this laptop will be able to play Planet Coaster on high settings? :)

that laptop has the EXACT same specs as my new laptop and i was told i would be good to go when i asked. the processor is quad core, and it meets all other requirements so we should be fine!

I decided to buy the game anyways, just to try it out. So far so good. I have five rides, a bunch of scenery items, and over 1k peeps. Runs buttery smooth on medium. [big grin]
