Shame on you fdev

Forgive me, you said:
You see, I do not care about people being sympathetic or understanding.
Now you say:
It is not true that I do not care what others think. Otherwise I wouldn't even have started a thread.
Bear in mind, that people being sympathetic or understanding is part of the thinking process. If they are sympathetic to your issue, or understand it, they are more likely to support it and listen to what you have to say.

You also said:
I do not seek to change people's mind.
Now you say:
I wanted to make people think twice about ignoring sloppy work.
Which is seeking to change their minds by making them think twice before buying.

As I said, I do not care about being right or not.
But you do care, otherwise you'd not have made this thread.. correct?

If fdev understands there is a part of the community unhappy with the way they make their kits, I have a chance they improve them.
Which they are much more likely to see, and understand if threads are constructive and helpful. :)

If I speak my mind, I know already there will be people agreeing and others who do not. For me the discussion is still helpful either way.
Considering the majority of this thread has not been about the ship kits, I wouldn't say this discussion has been helpful.

Not once did i club you for your opinion. If you think i did, please let me know and i'll take a look and reconsider.

Well, instead of talking about how to make fdev consider their kits are poorly made, you direct all your posts against my way of writing posts in a language which is not even my main language, posts irrelevant photos of the kits in an angle that hides what I am criticizing for example. You are not helping neither yourself nor the game.

You know what I've noticed about this forum?
Two things: A) it's full of old dudes, B) those old dudes like polite, constructive discourse that they can all participate in and get to the core of the issue; in order to present it to Frontier in a way that the developer can utilise that information the most efficiently.

You are being attacked because they didn't care for the tone of your OP.
They accept criticism, but it needs to be delivered in a non-confrontational manner that doesn't dismiss all other opinions as "white knighting" right off the cuff.

I do not understand why you attack me and you do not respect my opinion. It seems like you do not like criticism.

Well, i think the Asp kit is pretty good, the regular one. The Raider one doesn't work too well though with non-raider textures.

FWIW, I really like the "roll cage" that's part of the AspX raider kit.
Wish they'd make a clean version of it to fit to non-gnarly Asps... and other ships.
Which, in turn, makes me wish that, instead of selling specific ship-kits, they'd sell "part packs" which could be fitted to a variety of ships.
Also, it'd be lovely if, after fitting a roll-cage to my AspX (or Krait, or Vulture etc) it increased the hull armour a bit.

So if something is not worded as you wish, even if it is a good point, you dismiss it entirely. Even if you understood what I meant. That's weird.

And I think you missed the core of my critique, which was about push the devs to make things better. I doubt you missed it because of my way of communicating.
Your OP has resulted in a thread where no users have disagreed with the core critique but vast-majority of comments are discussing your atrocious communication-style instead. I don't think that listening to others and self-reflection are your strongest traits.

Constructive discourse is a two way street; you can't make a criticism and then dismiss all other opinions at the same time.
So, why should people entertain what you have to say, when you dismiss what they have to say in your opening post?

On the contrary, thanks to my very blunt and clearly worded communication style everyone agrees the ship kits are bad and such a long thread now has more chances to be viewed.

Oh dear. Knocking FDev has become something of a cant here. New forum, same old cants.

Its funny, because I can speak Russian (badly) but i can do it:

1) Without being abusive to the person i'm adressing
2) Without dismissing their opinion before they have even said anything
3) With politeness

This is not about native language. You intentionally used the word "shame" vs the devs. You intentionally dismissed the opinion of anyone who would disagree with you as being a "white knight", which is a negative term.

You know enough of the language to intentionally make your OP confrontational and dismissive of the opinions of others.

Now, tell me, if you so dismissive of the opinions of others, why should we pay attention to yours?

Look, i'll give it one last try on this front.

Title: Dissastisfied with the quality of ship kits.
My issue is that ship kits are not consistent (both the shaders and geometry) with paintjobs, ship pieces are badly aligned and thrown there without any attention.

I remind fdev these cosmetics are not free and constitute the income for the game, so I would expect them to be of superior quality.

Here is an image showing what I mean (insert link). Please note the areas i have circled in the image that clearly highlight some of the issues.

What do others think? Am I alone in finding this an issue?

Which, in turn, makes me wish that, instead of selling specific ship-kits, they'd sell "part packs" which could be fitted to a variety of ships.
Also, it'd be lovely if, after fitting a roll-cage to my AspX (or Krait, or Vulture etc) it increased the hull armour a bit.

First part would be a bigger technical challenge and probably a rework of the entire ship modelling system (unless they made those parts for every single ship for every piece... a massive job, and then, you'd definitely have clipping and mismatched textures.

The latter is also an issue because it would then raise the spectre of pay-to-win with cosmetics. Remember the fuss about the midnight black pantjobs making ships harder to see so an advantage for PvP?

It's kind of ironic that it seems like it's the iCourier kit which has provoked this discussion, given that the iCourier kit is pretty nice, IMO at least.

Where was the OP back when FDev were phoning it in with the T6, Keelback and DBX ship-kits?
Those truly were atrocious and if FDev had any shame they'd redo them or, at least, revise them.

you people are hopeless. You are one of the reasons this game is half baked. Talking about how I write my thread instead of acknowledging the fact that the community has to make the devs aware of the issues in order to get better content.

What you have achieved by clubbing me today is simply making me regret to try and change things for the better. I hope you are happy, you have one less "atrocious communicator" around.

Let's not leave the Viper out of this. It honestly looked like someone had forgotten to do it, and only started and finished the day before. It was so bad. xD
