My Opinion on the State of the Game...

Here's a brief summary, not much to do.

I have 144 hours in the game and every time I get to make my final park on Isla Nublar it just stops there. I can make my dinosaurs break out and cause a total destruction but that's just the end of it.
I made tons and tons of sandbox maps but after that there's just a big hole of emptyness.
I know that frontier worked around the clock to make this game happen and I'm so grateful for it but there's been a big gap of months where we have just gotten dlc packs with only dinosaurs, the challenge mode(cool but also repetitive) and bug fixes. Yes, yes the summer update, the BIG update that I honestly feel like we are just going to get another mode probably terrain tool maybe dinosaurs but nothing else comes to mind really.
It would definitely be cool to have a first person mode and maybe new attractions like the Cretaceous course boat that we got to see in Jurassic World or maybe the a Jeep tour like the one from the Gallimimus Valley.
I was hoping that all of those attractions would come by default in game but I guess they never did.

This is my only petition and one that I believe that everyone would like.

A real life size Isla Nublar

With only one update that contained this, There would be a LOT of people that would play again.

I honestly think that it should be apart from the campaign mode so it doesn't mess with the save files and be a completely new sandbox mode.

If you had the same opinion as me please like it and share it so that frontier actually sees it. Sorry for repeating the Isla Nublar thing again I just hate the map size we are given :)

I stopped playing this game because I was not able to get past a certain island and I do not want to start over playing islands anymore. I will also not be able to unlock the sandbox when I don't get all islands done so I am stuck here.

You can restart islands you know.
Press escape to bring up the menu and under "Save" & "Load" you will see "Restart Island".
All progress towards research and fossils will be kept.

I'm having some déjà vu... but I so totally agree with this!! A real sandbox mode, separate from the main campaign, with the whole of Nublar to work on would be AWESOME, even if it's just that. Please, please Frontier, consider this!!

I would like to see this too, if not, I would love to have more map options to play on.
I am the kind of person that loves playing on the same map over and over but I do admit I want to try something new too. If we can't have a gigantic map due to technical limitations, at least more variations (and hopefully bigger) nublar maps to play around in. Like Nublar North, South, East, West, and Center. 5 Large sandbox maps.

Not really sure how a map with more space would help. As of now it would just be miles of the same green hills and jungle with nothing interesting or special to break it up. Then the dino AI is kind of spergy with large areas and was made for small paddocks in mind. The gameplay wouldnt change and it would get old real fast just as any new map would. It's really hard to say what the focus of the gameplay is with this game since the dinos dont have interesting AI and there is little to no park management. It's pretty much a big sandbox with no tools to make any of it interesting.

I would agree but at least a bigger map would allow for bigger Parks, with more different species, while ridding us from those *** terrain constraints.

I would certaintly like a larger Nublar sandbox map. I dont see us getting 5 areas.. But maybe a 2nd Nublar called Full Nublar... If they could include the original JP heli pad near the waterfall entrance on it that'd be wonderful. Sorna is larger than Nublar, if they gave us that size without the mountain in the middle that would be a lot of space in this game.

It is not that it should be understood, it is that it is mandatory to have larger maps. This is one of the most serious problems of the game or even the most serious one. Even Nublar, which is the largest map, is very short.

What technical limitations may have been making larger new maps? If everything is empty at the beginning. Only grass, trees and water, nothing more, that does not produce any technical limitation. It's when you fill in the map of things when the PC / console can go slower but that has to be the player's decision when placing things, not the developer. The developer has to give us the option of making a colossal park. Those with a powerful PC can not take advantage of it.

JPOG had huge maps and in its time it could "collapse" computers and the PS2 when filling the map. And nothing happened.

We already have 59 dinosaurs. It is practically impossible to put them all on the same map. And that's really sad. Sad because even though new dinosaurs are always welcome but you have to leave others out because there is no space.

That the maps of the campaign remain small I accept it because it is part of the difficulty and that you are obviously unlocking island dinosaurs by island. However, both in Sandbox and in Desafío the maps must be HUGE and that is something that Frontier should do.

Agree with everything. Still, if consoles are the problem when a map is filled, surely particular limits could be applied to them? I mean, for instance, some cap on the number of animals a certain map can host, max number of buildings, etc.

That shouldn't be too hard to implement and would keep everyone happy, I think. After all, those playing on consoles should know their limits, and they could still enjoy bigger maps.

People have built crammed maps with ALL of the dinosaur species on them on consoles without any lag or anything. I dont think there's a problem with the size of the content containing it. If there is any limitation they're worried about with larger size it's that they might not be able to have everything in view show up crystal clear and detailed. Like sometimes the filler scenary of the non buildable area wont show up from far away. Like you can see the mountain but it just looks like green grass without trees on it until you get a little closer..... With bigger maps our parks might end up like that graphically where you cant see all the details from far away... Which might make some aspects of the game like the monorail ride/view seem less impressive. That's the only thing i think they can be worried about graphically and content size wise...

I say a Sorna with no mountain in it sized Nublar map would be good enough. It's a bit bigger and shouldn't have those problems.

Were those people playing on consoles at all? Just intrigued, because so far I thought console-players were unable to share screenshots until recently...

Anyway, the size of content within a map might be a problem. Remember that Stegosaur challenge? There were those with hundreds of Stegosaurs roaming Nublar. I know my current PC wouldn't managed that, but that doesn't mean my bro's or a future one wouldn't either. Consoles surely would reach limit way quickly, that's why proposed their copies just have the population/building number caps since they won't likely be able to expand their hardware, so they would still have the same things PC users have but their games won't likely crush from overwork.

Also, I confess my initial thought (or maybe hope) for the maps being what they are was just that Frontier wanted to unlock different areas on each island progressively, both to keep updating the "campaign" and to keep people from filling every tiny corner of Isla Nublar with the very same 3 attractions and have no space when they launched new content. Just imagine having a surprise Aviary and nowhere to place it one a whole Nublar filled up with lengthy enclosures for 60 land dinosaurs...

Call me naïve, but I'm still hopeful something of the like might happen at some point (that is, if the rumor of JWE2 isn't true): Wu's DLC seemed to confirm that to me, even if it didn't add anything I'd have liked. So I keep praying

Let's see what they give us in this big summer update ... but I am very skeptical that in this JWE we will ever have flying reptiles, marine reptiles, breeding and larger maps. in my opinion this game cant handle it.
I agree with you, so we need a second game. In a new game we will have better graphics and better mechanics, so it will be possible to add these things.

I both agree and disagree... I think the game can handle it, consoles just don't. But there are ways to circunvent that issue. Still, larger maps are possible, maybe it's just Frontier not wanting to unlock the whole of each island yet, as it did with Wu, that's why I'm still a bit hopeful.

And about flying and marine... well, maybe if they implement new maps they could be possible. Anyway, re-sizing dinosaurs was also allegedly impossible and we still got it so...

But I totally agree on the summer point. I'm certainly not interested in a "sequel".

Changing the size of dinosaurs is not impossible, we have seen this be done with T. Rex, Spinosaurus, Giganotosaurus and Ceratosaurus . I understand your point of view but a sequel would give us new opportunities with new mechanics in order to be implemented things that in this current game is impossible or hard

But as you said it is possible to implement all these things in the current game, it is difficult but not impossible :)
