Well, I would have even more fun going through reddit/forum than today.
Seeing that they finally address new player early game experience, even after I gave up hope it would ever happen, I start to believe that anything can be on the table for the next expansion.

yes, it is. they haven't had material time to fix (or even analyze it), and we haven't even tested yet. there might be some little detail that didn''t make it into the patch notes and changes the whole story.

anyway, a bit knee jerk, but sound and fun reaction from these content specialists. for the horde! i might even join if this happens!

When they don't give you organized time beforehand to politely offer feedback, what other options do you suggest but escalating ones? Not getting feedback for a huge change that nobody asked for is no way to treat the players.

It's pretty naive to think something like Operation: DQ wouldn't happen. I mean... this is Elite, folks. C'mon now.

Considering I haven't tested it yet (In a matter of hours before I do so) and I fly a Gunship, I feel that most of my builds if not all are just rendered useless. I mean it was bad enough with emissive seekers and plasma ramming but this. This takes the cake.

It will be interesting to see for sure.

Aside from the PvP aspect, perhaps this was done as a way to buff ATR? IIRC the only real way to fight them is from about 3km away. If we start seeing ATR running drag, that could be why.

Try talking with them? They removed player feedback in the form of beta testing and literally announced a change that will upend pvp combat the DAY BEFORE making it live.

It is all rather funny though. Gankers declaring they are going to continue ganking (so, no change there). People saying how it renders their builds useless (probably an overstatement, its just a new meta so perhaps a change in weapons needed). People declaring they are quitting the game (probably for the 10th time this year).

If i liked popcorn i'd have gone through a load by now.

I do think FD should listen to those who are providing constructive feedback though. Not the saltmeisters.

When you peg the Git Gud Guide as mere "propaganda" I believe that's as a legitimate question as you can get.

I have the feeling that you and others who don't engage in pvp wildly exaggerate in your own minds how much ganking pvpers do. While there are a few players and player groups fully dedicated to ganking random people, they are a minority. The vast majority of pvpers fight each other because wing vs. wing fights are the most fun.

Declarations like this signal that the majority are planning on joining the minority full time gankers instead of fighting each other. It's going to be noticeable.

You have the gankers to thank for this.

They're always claiming to be spokes persons for PvP and always claim that any criticism towards them is criticism towards PvP. And then they play the PvP victim card.

I am at this moment playing Red Dead Online (Beta!) as it is providing a smoother user experience.

i was about to make the same mistake: you can't boost if you're dragged.

anyway, don't sell your fleet just yet! we don't even know for sure if there is a screw up, and if there is ... rest assured we will bring order to the galaxy until chaos reigns again!
