Well sure I get that, but just because they are bad at video games. Doesn't mean everyone wants to be.
They mad cuz they bad. True story![]()
And, like, it's OK to be bad too. We're all trash compared to someone.

As someone who picked drag munitions for my seeker missiles before the update... I can say that the effect was a little misleading to begin with. Without experimentation with another player, you would be pretty hard-pressed to notice what they were supposed to do, or even the duration of the effect. When I first picked the experimental effect I was under the impression that it would indeed supress the boost function of the target ship, I later learned that it merely set the 'pips' in ENG to 0 (although I'm still not sure on this). Again especially in PVE this would be very hard to notice - especially as you can't see an enemy targets' 'pips'. I think the reason for this change is to make the experimental effect more fitting to expectations and to make the effect more noticable in PVE.
In PVP terms, ECM's and CM's and frag cannons have just gotten a lot more useful. when countering frags - keeping your distance has always been effective anyway.
I'd like to think the PVP community can adapt to the new changes without needing to revoke them.
Last I heard the new Drag Munition effect doesn't work on NPCs. Gonna go check AashenFox's thread to see if that's still true.
Aside from being only picometers from certain none of these unwanted champions of fair and balanced play will take up the challenge I offered a few pages back, I think there is a far more traumatic possibility here we’re missing out on:
If these folks can do this to unarmed freighters and PvE players simply because a game mechanic allows it, is the actual reality of the issue that they’re really wetting themselves in terror at the realization this could just as easily be done TO them, perhaps by a 10 hour harmless commander in a fast money Anaconda and they cannot bare the thought of the shame they will have to endure?

I can't help but agree to some of this - I've watched the limited PVP content on youtube and most of the "best" rely heavily on the massive increase to pitch speed that boosting provides. I can imagine that experienced PVPers are anticipating having to radically alter their coveted skills in order to adapt to this change, and would rather maintain the status quo.
Not really. Any semi-decently outfitted ship is still invulnerable, so I doubt anyone is genuinely scared of being ganked.

I disagree - even the best ships can get ganked, depends on the situation.

Get off it.
My attitude is "Open is Open." If you don't want to play that, PG and Solo are just fine. If you'd like help on thriving in Open, hit me (or the dozens of people in this thread) up for help. We'll totally hook you up.
The plain fact of the matter is the anti-Drag folks are some of the most helpful people in this game. Maybe you could learn from them.
What amazes me is how the 'gweefer fear' anti-change brigade is trying to shut this down.
You do realise that if this stays the same, you've got a near zero chance to escaping a gank if they plink you once in an engagement, right?
Drag Munitions isn't going to turn that Fast Money 'Conda into a competent PvP player. Thinking that will just get them killed.
So, you are saying that most of the people involved in ganking are not also proponents of open only or bonuses for open? Because i think a dig through the forum archives would paint a pretty certain picture.
