Todays update is messing with assasination missions please fix this

But why we can't have at least one system with a Pirate POI every day, not only twice a week?
Do you know for a fact that there aren't any? There's generally a couple around. Setting the filters on your galaxy map can help a lot with this.

The assassination mission aspect is a bit more concerning if it's consistent.

Thank you very much for your advice. I spent a lot of days to find those POI because i like to fight with NPC. And it was just days with spended time, without any fun at all.

If you've not tried an AX Combat Zone yet, they're great fun. However, you'll need a Xeno Scanner and a Decontamination Limpet controller. AX Weapons are, in my experience optional for Scouts. Be prepared to lose a couple of ships before you adapt to the fighting style.

Sounds like an advice to drink tea instead of coffee for person who can't get coffee. What if he doesn't like tea?

You enjoy fighting NPCs. I'm letting you know where there are some rather good ones that need slightly different tactics.

If you want 'normal' NPCs, then a normal CZ(High) should meet your requirements as some of the opponents will be engineered.
 
Lol varonica I hope that's not the case itd be kinda hard to kill pirate lords and terrorists without weapons. With a 4k shield and a handful of shield cell banks I suppose I could try ramming them to death :)

All I can say is that a CMDR requested it, who know what requests FDEV may suddenly decide to fulfil.

It would make things difficult though, most player engineered ships are far more powerful than NPC ships, if they were programmed to run if a ship exceeded their own capability by a certain percentage it would require many players to actually downgrade their weapon loadout to complete the missions, an interesting thought.
 
God I hope somebody didn't suggest that they do this varonica cant see why anyone would want things to be like this. If they did and fdev went along with their whims that's really sad and makes me wonder whos piloting the plane over there atm. I wont downgrade my ship after working so hard to get mats to upgrade it will just have to stop doing these missions and maybe all missions in general if they want to impose ridiculous game mechanics like this.

I picked up a few missions this morning and after I get off work I will give things another go. I changed my vettes paintjob and ship kit options so they hopefully don't recognize me lol if it happens again I'll submit a bug report like factabulous suggested. hazres and pirate pois might be the only way to get mats now unless those guys flee too in which I guess I'll have to quit then cause im just not doing anymore davs hope runs no way in hell.

After todays update I've found it pretty much impossible to do assasination missions because my targets are now high waking away before I can finish them off. Before this pretty much never happened but it just happened 7x in a row leading me to abandon those missions plus 6 others I figured were now hopeless. My maxed out vette has twin huge oc mcs that usually shred everybody but these dudes are now skipping out between 50-75% hull damage.

I noticed this was happening as well. I then switched to Rails (both long range, one with SP, other cascade) and targeted the fsd and took it out. Still a pain, but at least I was able to eliminate the non-stop jumping. I am doing them in a Krait MK with an NPC crew I send out in a fighter for distraction though, not a Vette.
 
Been doing assassination missions today, yesterday and immediately before the update. I've noticed a tendency for them to try to escape as of today, but it hasn't been a problem – none succeeded. Engineered Krait Mk II on my side, enemies have been Dangerous Fer-de-Lances (main target in solo wing assassinations) and Dangerous Corvettes. A few didn't try to run, but those that did weren't too hard to take out with my standard loadout. (Lasers, multi-cannons and an Imperial Fighter.)

For those experiencing this, does it seem like some mysterious mechanic is at work beyond the AI choosing to try to run? I wouldn't expect just about any ship to be able to escape the OP's "maxed out vette" at 50% hull without dying first. Are they charging their FSD unnaturally quickly?

People request all sorts of strange things, like tank wars on planets, why not play World of Tanks instead I say? I think it's unlikely, much more likely to be a bug than anything else, every update brings in bugs in unexpected areas.
 
It does seem like they have fast charge sequence or something going on and they boost away so fast that they escape the range of my oc mcs before I can even blink. I used to run all long range weapons and still have them in storage and might switch back and see how it goes but I'll have a big dps drop off from switching back.

Could try throwing 2 small rails on the nose of my vette and see how it goes but after trying to use 2 huge fixed pas I've come to the conclusion that using fixed weapons on a vette is pretty difficult. My fdl, mamba and krait mk2 are all maxed out g5 on everything and I could try some rails and pa setups and see how easily I can do these missions. Though I've gotten attached to my vette and its 4k+ shields for pve and if I can't use it anymore I'm just quitting missions I guess. Pirates better not run like this in hazres and other places too I like combat not annoying wild goose chases.
