Platforms for JWE2

Please Frontier if you are actually launching JWE2 launch to the new generation consoles, please. I play on the platform PlayStation I would very much like to see JWE2 for PS5. It would be nice to launch for Xbox as well. Launch the game for the consoles please!!!!

I know there's a supposed leak. But that doesn't change that there is still DLC coming first which will very likely improve the current game. So why waste time speculating about something that might not exist and isn't really relevant right now because JWE is still being updated?
I also preferred that all content that the community asks could be implemented in DLC's only that certain content is not possible in JWE because of the current mechanics of the game. A new game perhaps would be more feasible than implementing new ones in a game already ready, would be more difficult. Contents such as dinosaur breeding, marine reptiles and pterosaurs are too complex for this game, so it is necessary a new game with new mechanics. (I'm just giving an example). Really it would be better to put all the content in one game only, but it seems that it is not possible. I mean, I don't know, but who knows?

To be honest, all this hyping for a "Supposed JWE2", that isn't even officially announced yet is getting us nowhere, & isn't helping, just because of a supposed "Leak". A leak is just that, a leak, speculation, unofficial.
As for the ideas, well, what I can say is that we should only be talking about ideas FOR JWE, not JWE2 because it doesnt even exist.
Once FD makes an official announcement about JWE2, if its happening or not, thats the time that we should start talking about it, ideas & such, but that time isn't now. Just saying.

But that's the point: we just don't know anything. We don't even know what is possible and what is not. That's for the devs to tell (which they likely won't). And, anyway, some other games had their very cores totally reworked for new features to be implemented, so we can't even think of a whole new game.

We can only wait and see. July might deliver or not, maybe it will further confirm the leaks, maybe not. But we can only wait.

Agreed, until we hear anything from the devs, from FD... all leaks are just leaks & speculation without valid proof coming from unofficial channels. FD is the only ones who can confirm or deny this, but please do mind : Just because they're silent, doesn't mean the leak is true, anyways, they've already given their comment about the supposed leak.

If Im being fair, I hope they wont. I know it would cost me quite some to have a proper gaming PC, but here's why I sincerely hope JWE2 (if its going to exist) is PC only:

Gaming consoles will ALWAYS stay behind in both 1 graphic and 2 gaming complexity opportunities compared to PC.
How this works: gaming consoles are as good as their hardware at the point of design and production. 1.) At the start of production consoles are good at what they do (though already behind to the pc hardware at the top of the market at that point in time). From that point onwards, their comparative capabilities decline as a function of continuous hardware development. The flexibility for pc gamers to install new parts along the way keeps them having better graphics.
2.) Consoles are designed to be sleek and easy to store. Hardcore gaming pc rigs are made to have enough space for advanced coolingsystems, better processors (with a focus on forward compatibility) and the like.
3.) Consoles still are lacking in player control in their basic production, wherefore games have to be less complex.

Keep in mind Im an xbox enthousiast. Though saving up for a proper pc gaming rig. Why? Watch this:

Its showing one of the new gaming engines with photoreallistic rendering. There's two of these now currently. The next consoles might (or might not, thats currently not known) be able to render these graphics, but think about how much complexity it must be able to handle too if you want a more complex in depth game.

Long story short, there will be more complex games that consoles might only be able to handle in their next generation. By that time there will be newer and more complex games. The opportunities for a potential JWE2 will always be bigger if it would be pc only. Its a good choice to keep planet zoo for pc only.

Im writing this not to offend us consoleplayers nor too make others feel bad. I'm writing this to advice 1. Frontier: please focus on pc only! And 2. Consoleplayers: save up for gaming rigs if you want that dreamgame.

I've already stated my views on this point, and fully agree because those were my thoughts exactly.

I've been a console player for many, many years before owning a second-hand, inherited PC and since then I've been a complete supporter of PC gaming. Consoles just can't keep up, they get behind too quick, and provide scarce to no future at all for any game developed for them (that even without mention modding possibility).

Even an "old" PC like the 4-year laptop I'm playing with works so much better at so many things I really think it does pay to save a bit of money for one instead of endlessly buying console after console. Also, not to mention that a PC game can be carried to a newer PC, something you can't always do with consoles.

If a supposed JW2 ends happening, the best way to, again, disappoint players of all kinds and fail is to go (once again) one-way, making it both for PC and consoles. So I'm, too, hoping for PC only or, at least, two game versions.

I think the mods should start locking up this thread, & any other threads referring/pertaining to JWE2.
There's no point in talking about it to be honest.
People in JWE Reddit are responsible enough to stop talking about JWE2, we should do the same here.

Responsible... do you mean in the sense of hiding expectations which some people might deem unrealistic? Or in a different sense?
The idea of having a JWE sequel is not much but a rumour. It is hypeing loads of people and maybe does so lead to utter dissapointment if a sequel never becomes.

Personally I dont care much if it wouldnt become and I would like it if did. A sequel would be nice, but I wouldnt be dissapointed as no promises or even hints were presented. I do however support giving Frontier the idea that an ample group of people would endorse a sequel if theyre ever going to seriously consider it. As that is currently one of the few things a JP/JW lore fan can do to motivate Frontier into thinking about a sequel. To that extend I am both an optimist ánd not prone enough to feelings of dissapointment that I would want to stop sharing thoughts about it. I think those who want to join in that can be free to do as they please, without any moderators shutting threads down.

In other words: lets consider a sequel to be fan fantasy at the moment and continue to deliver the wish for a sequel to Frontier. Ofcourse whilst still sharing thoughts about improvements and future updates/dlcs for JWE. :)

What's the purpose of threads such as these for a game that doesn't even exist yet to begin with? A "speculated game" that is "under development" based on leaks, from unofficial channels? The answer is that there is no purpose.

Responsible, as by not spreading/promoting talks based on leaks. I did not say hiding expectations, what I meant was being responsible with what we are talking about here in the forums. Promoting things based on leaks isn't being responsible.
