Gambling in casinos, girls and stock speculation. There are enough possibilities.
I must have missed it and can't find anything on it right now. Where was this revealed?FDev already said - this will be in Q4 2020. Please wait 1.5 years more for possibility to spend your billions on something (useless).
Y'know, I think more people would if the Thargoid invasion made any sense. Right now it's just random zones to fight aliens. There is no apparent desire to control territory, no attack on our government, no attack on infrastructure (not that we have any infrastructure to defend any way). It's all just random stuff happens every week.We make credits and amass many, but there are 'easy' ways to spend them, very quickly if you wish
The PvP community finance their gameplay (the rebuy costs) by earning credits enough for X rebuys... (from inference reading the posts)
I've donated around 100 millions cr to the AX CZ cause and had fun doing it - there is no way someone of my combat skill can make enough from bonds in AX combat to pay for rebuys (payout is low compared to anything else in game that has any level of 'risk') so it is a 'loss leader' for my own entertainment.
Sitting on billions with nothing to buy, go save the galaxy and lose loads of credits in the meantime![]()
It is true, sadly, that they are hidden safely away from everyone who isn't deliberately going out to find them, that I'd love to see change, but unlikely.Y'know, I think more people would if the Thargoid invasion made any sense. I feel like that shoe maker that has elves make his shoes every night. Every morning I wake up and there's new shoes. Except some morning some evil elves have destroyed some shoes. But what do I care, tomorrow it'll be a whole new bunch of shoes anyway.
While you seemed to jest a bit, it actually is a pretty good advice.Just spend some time in Open at Deciat.![]()
Not only that, I can toy with different ships and different builds. While you seemed to jest a bit, it actually is a pretty good advice.
With the current influx of easy money, people can fly open without worrying much about rebuys.
If you get killed, so what...
Scoop 5 void opals and your medium ship rebuy is covered. A 6E cargo rack full of painite
pays the rebuy of a reactive Cutter. I certainly welcome this![]()
Just look at all the threads complaining that 'I would do AX, but the (CR) pay is bad', etc.
I keep waiting for that search and rescue CG where indy pilots have to collect escape pods after a failed offensive or devastating attack....Yep, that's why the British army was never evacuated at Dunkirk. Shame, really.
Has always been the issue. Once you buy the ships you want, credits are meaningless. Is there some kind of economy to be mindful of? Nope. Do you have upkeep costs, hangar rent costs, your own station to pay maintenance of? Nope. Can you trade with players? Nope. Are refuel and rearm costs meaningful? Nope. Ships and rebuy. Credits are good for nothing more.
Start doing ax combat and PvP, you'll soon be broke, because even when you win in ax and PvP you still loose. Are you run out of imagination? So many players have billions and nothing to buy....new expensive ships and i mean EXPENSIVE SHIPS "over 500 millions credits" or building and running my own outpost. People are sitting on billions of credits and there is NOTHING to buy.
Is this a problem of the game design or the player?Have to say, I find it interesting that this post starts with asking FD if they've run out of imagination, when OP apparently can't imagine anything to do in the game other than spend money.
I'd say the player, given that there is so much to do. It's like giving a kid a bunch of very different toys to play with, they show no interest in anything other than the lego, and then get upset when there aren't enough bricks - instead of playing with the other toys.Is this a problem of the game design or the player?
We asked for better paying missions: done
We asked for lower insurance costs: done
We asked for easy to kill NPC's : done
We asked for more overpowered ships/weapons: done
We asked for lesser NPC pirating: done
We asked for better exploration rewards: done
Now we have a bored rich community that asks for more ways to spend our easy earned billions.
Fdevs should stop throwing billions at us and bring back the game to the original "hard life" model. I miss it.
PS: I didn't ask for anything but hey... I'm a rich man![]()
