Let me buy the Cobra MK IV please.

no, the MK3 is better at combat than the MK4 the extra 1k hull integ doesnt mean anything if you are an easy target especialy when the MK3 can already get 50%+ resistances. the Cobra MK 3 is a good enough hull tank already without being absolutely crippled for speed. the MK4's 1k extra integ gives you at most another 3% extra resistances globally over the MK3.

infact part of the reason why almost no one uses large ships in PvP is because of how easy targets they are. they are slow and FDL's are able to pick them apart with plasmas easy.

Even cobra's can pick apart engineered cutters/conda's/corvettes with casscade mines and dominate them.
being slow kills

Then you are saying all slow ships are bad for combat... the Federal Funship would like to have a word with you.

I can tell you, as someone who has used the CM3 and CM4 extensively, the CM4 is a better hull tank than the CM3. Before they made all ships in CZ bullet sponges, i could sit in a CZ all day (barring running out of ammo) in my CM4. The CM3 was a much tricker proposition.

I wasn't talking about PvP of course, PvP is a whole different ballgame.

This is a circus honestly.

People will post on this forum, and from what they say you can tell they don't touch Open with a 50 foot pole most of the time, if ever. They don't want to deal with it.

But then people turn right around and attack Cobra IV on Open terms. Like this matters at all. You'd swear nobody has any appreciation of these ships for the ships they are themselves.

And then people cite all this legal crap. It's one videogame thingy in a videogame. Frontier's not going down over one change to one thingy in one of their videogames. If they didn't go down for dropping MAC SUPPORT they're not going for anything to do with the Cobra IV.

Fix the cobra

i didn't know undercores did that

Why not right? Are the early backers going to feel cheated after all this time?
There have been more threads;on the subject, than the number of words, you have used to raise, this topic.

I see that you are new here. So you are forgiven, for asking for this futile demand. That said, you need to understand, that have been over 100,000 words written on the subject and many with some very well thought out and constructive arguments made, for your request. All of which, have come up against the same, brick wall.

Exclusive, means just that.

There was a time, when I agreed, it should be shared, with all the players; but then. The blamers tried to brand the owners, as 'the bad guys'. The whiners, refused to listen to reason and again, tried to vilify the owners and so, now I fly my Cobra exclusives (yes I own two), with pride and smugness, that it is and always will be; exclusive.

For its size and class, it is an excellent ship. As a passenger runner, it is hard to beat. Now I have my Pack-hounds, the one I have built for assassination missions, will have some extra punch.

Oh I don't know about that - it's the PERFECT ship for flying 5th column Powerplay merits in Solo.

I know nothing of this, nor care about it - I am a confessed Module Tourist, but I have always verified my merit-making efforts have not be contrary to the needs of whichever power I'm working for at the time. In the words of Jango Fett: "He who hires my hand, hires my whole self."

I'll have to defer to your expertise when it comes to 5C work.

Its an amazing little anaconda in small size. I wish you the best in getting one. Though to be realistic you're probably going to need a ps5 do it.

Yeah it is worth it.

I think frontier were taking internal laugh lots when they buffed it with more slots alongside every other ship. Someone suggested the viper 4 as an alternative.. lol not even close 2 less slots, one extra small hard point.

Fix the cobra
Arguably, the Cobra Mk IV is not broken and does not need fixing... I honestly think that some in these forums do not know squat about how to balance gameplay in any shape or form.

The Cobra Mk IV is an upgrade to the Cobtra Mk III in most respects - and arguably in the only ways that truely matter for a true multi-role craft. If we were talking about a new version of the Eagle, Viper, or Vulture the combat centric argument might have some legitimacy but we are not.

Absolutely correct. The pvp crowd think there are only 2-3 ships in the game.
Mark Four is an excellent ship.
Something the new players can never have. :) NEENER

Someone been at the Onionhead?

Yes, I believe that was Braben, when he promised eternal exclusivity.

I'm just saying, with the amount of unnecessary complication people like to overload the issue with, it would take Frontier that long to sort it out if they tried to address all the concerns in these unrelenting threads.
