We did those jokes on a thread about the actual update...17GB update on Xbox. That seems......big for what's in the patch notes.

This is either a dishonest comment or a deeply ignorant one.FD is slowly turning a game into real sweaty "I hate my job" work ... *cough engineers ... *cough Guardians ... and now ARX ... we'll see how it ends.
What is the source of that information?Avergae for 10 hours play killing ships in coflict zone high a week is ~400 ARX...
So, not all the other changes, you're somehow blaming the bugs on ARX?Patched game will be broken fo at least a week because marketing decided it's time for alternative currencies no one ever asked.
Thanks. That makes up for all the things that Go Wrong on Patch Day.This is either a dishonest comment or a deeply ignorant one.
You get ARX for playing the game. Compared to before, when you did not earn anything towards cosmetics... no, wait. We've gone through this before.
Every time we finish this cycle, somebody new steps up.
So, not all the other changes, you're somehow blaming the bugs on ARX?
That was an FSD-boosted leap in logic there.
It does seem the easiest way to curtail a lot of these complaints is to allow purchase of arbitrary ARX above the minimum value. Would mean fdev having to actually work out a proper currency -> ARX conversion rate, but that wouldn't be a bad thing as they've had to fudge their manual numbers twice already.
People would still grumble about virtual currencies, but they should just holiday abroad more often and get used to how exchange rates work![]()
Because FD wants to make money and not just give stuff away.I've see quite a few people raise this point, but I am looking for some clarification from anyone that has insight on the design philosophy here.
Many mmo's have what are called Daily's.
These are unique activities you perform on a daily basis to earn a modest in-game reward. It's a check - in model that consumes about 20 minutes of time, and the rewards are valuable enough to grind toward a skin or achievement title that many players will complete them.
Daily's are pretty well known as a last gasp of an mmo trying to secure player log ins, and provide the player with in-game events communications.
Capping ARX to 400/week feels very much like a Daily structure to me.
There is an active core player base that might grind more than 400 ARX in a week, but my hypothesis is that is not a huge number - and many of those folks probably already dropped cash to get the skins they want.
So what is the upside on the cap?

Testing?! And I bet you want space legs and atmospheric landings too?Well they better start testing their releases before delivering then shouldn't they...., Looking at the bugs board shows as usual, they made a complete balls of it.

Sell the account...That would assume that there is a method through which to transfer ARX.
Lmao no. This has bupkiss to do with it. It a question of money, they dont want people grinding arxe to a tune of more than 400 a week so it doesn't cut into their bottom line. In fact this will even "encourage" people to simply buy arxe as 400 is a pittance and it will take forever to acquire enough to get anything decent in the store.Stops them being pulled into Parliament with other companies and being asked why they try to get children to play excessive hours on the game? Is the responsible thing to do when you know there are people with addiction issues in the community? That kind of thing. Being a responsible company.
