Just saw the Recommended System Requirements

I just noticed that the minimum requirements lists Windows 7+, while the recommended settings only list Windows 10. Could it be possible that some form of DX12 was implemented?

I doubt it. Unless they completely reworked the engine. Which is something I think they would happily brag about.
I think the Windows 10 are mentioned simply because they are on most modern (read: less than couple years old) PCs

Wasn't it like a 980 before in recommended? The PCs they used during the gamescom were really powerful and it couldn't even handle 30fps the first zoo.

I really don’t know anything about computers and I want to get a new laptop before launch (I’m not playing the beta game as I will be away for most of the time it’s available). Do I need something really exceptional to run the game successfully?

Something with dedicated GPU. GTX1070M or RTX2060M would probably be the best.
As for the CPU, any 4-core processor will be fine, IMO.

In all honesty, it would probably better to get a desk top to run games like Planzoo and whatnot, only because PCs tend to be more powerful when it comes to running games, you typically pay less and get more (in terms of capability) and they can be upgraded in terms of graphics ect..

If you really want a laptop though, you’ll be looking for a recent gaming laptop

Look around before you buy, look at reviews and ask other people if they play games what types of computers they have.

I've been planning a new PC build for a long time, but I have to admit, I built it a few months earlier than originally planned just because of this game :)
RTX 2700, 32GB DDR4, i7 9700, NVMe SSD, 42" 4K display (3840x2160 native).

Thanks, the problem is that due to my current housing situation I don't have anywhere to put a desktop so for the moment I will have to stick with a laptop.

Because this is literally a foreign language to me, does this sound ok? Any help would be gratefully received!

  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • Intel® Core™ i7-9750H (2.6 GHz base frequency, up to 4.5 GHz base with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 12 MB cache, 6 cores)
  • 144 Hz 43.9 cm (17.3") diagonal Full-HD IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080)
  • 16 GB DDR4 2666Hz memory; 512 GB PCIe SSD; 1 TB HDD storage
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060 (6 GB GDDR6 dedicated); ; 4 zone backlit keyboard with macro keys; Thunderbolt port; Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 (2x2)

I just finished building a new PC so I'm good with foreign languages :) That is a decent machine. Should run PZ very well on high graphics.

I'm praying to the computing gods that with some VRAM faking I might get my laptop, which has i7 the ram but not the Graphics, to play it in some form. Bought the laptop a year ago and can't really justify having another just for this game, as there is no way, short of dismantling my laptop that I cano d an eGPU. Roll on USB 4.0 in ordinary laptops, then I'll be OK.

I am just hoping my computer will run it even on a lower setting , I only just saw the specs and my graphics card is the Gtx 750 ti . Otherwise i have pre prdered the game for nothing . The previous info i had seen said it was about the same specs as Planet Coaster which my computer runs great on high settings

You can get an Radeon RX570 for about 100 bucks. It shouldn't make too big a hole into your wallet.
