Cant launch game from launcher?

So seen this for the first time ever - the launcher says "Purchase" instead of launch game...

What the heck?

Seems like when Steam is down, launcher can't authenticate your game...

I'm a LEPer and am using the Frontier client. So it's not just Steam.

But did you ever redeem a Steam key for that account?

I never did and I can both login to the launcher and actually get in game without issues.

Same here, Steam user. Didn't find this thread till now so I created a ticket with Frontier.

Same here, can't log in to Steam either - although I should add i play ED straight from the FD launcher, not Steam.

Quick bit of research, seems that Steam has been down for a while, globally - guess this is a ripple from that :/
