September Update Bugs Master List

Oldie but goldie, visible damage on ships magically disappears when you change instance, ie jump, supercruise etc. Damage should act like paint and be there until repaired

And another which has been reported and is still around from earlier this year.

Audio - Shutdown Field Neutraliser - last audio played as part of charge loops continually after firing until you leave the instance

@Crimson Kaim

The landing pad bug has never been fixed. I was victim to this bug regulary throughout the past two or so years. Added it regardless as it still exists.

NPC Blocking landing pad bug when docking has reappeared after being fixed a year ago.
I find it almost unbelievable that Frontier can release an update with that many bugs and that game-breaking. It’s silly.

This is just a tiny amount of all the bugs there are in the game. The majority of them, however, are not gamebreaking but are very old and may have been here since day 1. They get increasingly annoying because you spot them over and over again which just gives you the feel that FDev doesn't care and based on their actions (note: not statements and words) I interpret that they really don't care. The lack of investments and honesty as well as a high level of professional transparency just doesn't let me conclude to anything else.

Also, I have added the latest reports. If you have any further ones or if I missed something, ping me with

as this will add a notification in my forum inbox. I added this to the main post accordingly.

Any mention of FPS drops?

With my usual settings (1080p, no supersampling, everything else maxed out, ingame limiter set to 144 Hz on my i7-8700+RTX 2080 laptop) I used to have rock steady 144 FPS with the exception of some stations and maybe very dense asteroid fields where the FPS could (occasionally) drop down to the 130-140 range (without the limiter it would have been approx. 200 to 210 nearly everywhere).

Since the update my FPS can drop all the way down to the 90-100 range sometimes, not only in stations and rings, but also in crowded CZ 's.

Well there have also been some driver updates since I tested it the last time, so it's not easy to compare the figures, but I haven't noticed any changes in any of the graphics settings, nor similar FPS drops in other games like Witcher 3 and the like.

Edit: oh, and in the CZ in which I experienced that unusual behaviour, the NPC's weren't rubberbanding.

One which keeps coming and going: In any ship equipped with a docking computer, approach station and request docking. Onscreen message indicates request granted and gives pad number, but there is no audio, even after a number of seconds. As soon as throttle is reduced to zero you get request granted audio, and automatic docking enabled audio all in a continuous stream.

This bug first appeared over a year ago, and was fixed some time during Beyond. It reappeared in the April update and remains after the September update. There is an issue on it which has been 'confirming' since at least May.

Do you mean no sound at all or no specific sounds like radio shatter? I have never used a docking comp in my entire life and will never use one so I need more info :p

I found a new one:
The nav compass is gone from the Imperial cutter. How should I align the ship with my jump trajectory, if I do not have a compass in the HUD?

Scrap that report, I lost my target and hence the compass. After resetting the target, the compass reappeared.

Apologies if this has been mentioned, but I haven't seen it in any list - have Lagrange Clouds (and all Notable Stellar Phenomena) been removed? Even in known places (Alaunus etc) and sites I have previously visited (and taken screenshots of) there are none around any more. It has me thinking I'm going insane, trying to find these things. I'm on xbox if that makes any difference.

Unsure if it is just me, plagued by memory issues. Apologies if it's been mentioned already.

The ASP Explorer boost sound seems to have changed to the Anaconda boost sound?

You're right I should have been more explicit.

The problem is that you hear no voice granting docking permission. You could wait until the docking time limit expires and still not hear it, but as soon as you throttle to zero you hear the voice saying docking permission granted, and the pad number, followed by the voice telling you that automatic docking is enabled. For those that want to be told the pad to use and manually fly through the slot it's just another immersion breaker.

TBH I'm more concerned that a bug which was previously fixed gets reintroduced afterwards.

Added to the main post :)

I quick update: I suppose the amount of bugs we found clearly reflects the state of the game and so does the kind of bugs in all their occurrences.
As bug reports are getting less frequent I will update the main post less frequent as well so please don't be disappointed when it doesn't show up the next day.
Also, at one day I will no longer update the main post, maybe in around two weeks. Hopefully by this day the amount of yet-to-be-reported-bugs will be not so high so we can all use the issue tracker.
Lastly, FDev finally fixed a hand full of the reported bugs during the past weeks, for example the easy-to-fix enforcer cannon synthesis bug whereas others still need a fix like the Clipper ship kit borking the netcode.

Found an issue when dropping into distress call sites last night. Dropped in fine, but there was nothing in there. Tried again on same site. Still empty. Jumped system after relog, tried again on new distress call, empty again. Gave up...

Power priority tab still messed up: maybe it no longer displays modules of your previous ship (I did not test that yesterday), but if you change a module in outfitting, setting its priority will change the priority of other modules as well. You have to relog to make it work again.

Please add Scrambled Spectrum no longer works against NPCs. At least I don't see any evidence of it working, and I have seen it work in the past, so this is a new bug.
