Almost full fuel, in a system over a year away from the outpost i want to hit. Do you have to have the 3 components to do a jump or can you do a normal one without? When i hit the jump key nothing happens, no message nothing.
Strange i was in solo mode, it was like i was standing still at full thrust... with no jump capability. Switch to normal mode and i can jump again, switch back and no jumps again. Is this normal??
Not normal... no.
I've only been in PG and Open lately, so I haven't tried in Solo... interesting... but at least you figured a way for it to work.... really odd tho.
You are not giving enough info per the ship you are flying and the jump you are trying make. Maybe it is jump 101 learning the basics. Maybe you might be playing with Polonium or Newtron stars but we cannot help you without more info. There is no difference jumping whether in Solo, Group or Open mode.
I am in a system and wish to jump to the nearest port in that system. I just finished a combat, and wanted to return to cash in bounty. My ship is mk III and full fuel. No damage to any systems. Just when i hit my key for FSD it does nothing. I tried it in normal mode and it worked, went back to solo mode and it still does not work. Tried normal mode again and now it doesnt work there either.
What does the FSD tell you why it won't engage? What is the fuel available on the right side of your display? Does the modules page say that your FSD is working? Maybe your controller bindings could be an issue. Thus throwing some ideas out there. I don't the have info to dial it in.
close to 100% fuel... no message when i try to FSD... its like im standing still even with full throttle and hit the tab for the afterburner thingy. Its like im snared in place for normal motion and no ability to FSD. If i go in reverse throttle at full ... my distance doesnt change either stays exactly the same... Switching modes, logging doesnt fix.
Did you purchase a ship kit? Remove it. With the last update there was a bug with the Imp Clipper where install the ship kit and it cannot hyperspace jump to another system.
If you are trying to jump to someplace inside the system you are in... you don't do that... you fly to it in supercruise... we are clear on that difference, right? It sometimes seems slow in supercruise, but you accelerate as time goes by, etc...
Might be worth checking the binding for Engage Supercuise... but it should be default is ok. ...I think this will end up being a small issue of just getting more familiar with handling travel...
