This is what I got for 2.5 hours of mining

I don't know why and how but I agree with everyone in this thread.
Arx is not the reason to play the game. But they were introduced as a kind of reward for spending time and doing stuff in the game. A trick to recall people in the game. If this is not well balanced the trick simply doesn't work and this is more an issue for FDEV than for players. Imagine all this development time and players frustration for nothing

I feel mocked.

Seriously OP, if this is your true feelings and not just hyperbole, then i suggest you take a massive step back from the game.

But why would you buy some if there was nothing you were wanting to buy?

"Wow, i've now got 1000 ARX! Better buy some ARX now, even though i don't actually want anything from the store."
True.
But you also got "oooh I only need another 15000 ARX to buy that shiny thingamabob".

Who said anything about not wanting to buy stuff? FD are banking, literally, on players wanting the cosmetics.
Not sure where you are coming from with this but - as nice as free arx are - they are a method to induce people to buy the packs. It's just good, old business. And fair play to FD.

I couldn't tell you what my arx balance was before and after a session, I honestly don't pay attention to that. Unless you are brand new to the game and don't know how it was before, or it's just an entitlement issue I don't see how one would get upset about how much they are earning per hour playing a video game when it's technically not your job.

Will add to this... If the reason you're playing is to earn arxe, the game is in worse state than I think it is.

if arx earnings increase ,you will get 400 in one day, but you will be 6 days without seeing anything.I realized the first
when I made 400 in 5 minutes (with you know). This last week I played a little every day and before Thursday I had the 400.

Surely you can.

if i were frontier i would eliminate the free arx right now, problem solved, that's too much.Personally, there isn't even content that appeals to me

1 question, in which f+++g have some players spent up to 400 euros?

In Elite possible 500+ over 5 accounts, closer maybe to 800. Elder Scrolls Online, I have 2 accounts and have spent ~ 2000.

OMFG,do you think that is a healthy practice ?I think that is a big problem man.I put 20 euros literally a week ago, and nothing has piqued my interest to spend them .

people have had problems with expenses through the internet and by deceptive advertising, but come on man, I do not see where I can spend 400 in elite or in any game

I have a job and real life so I can only spend around 10-12 hours gaming per week which I think is still a lot (but that's a side effect of not having family and being a master of your own free time) and since ARX was introduced I played maybe around 10 hours until weekly reset. I only do exploration (system scans and planets mapping) I earned 26 ARX over those 10 hours.
OK I'm in a deep space and I can't sell data at the moment so I don't know if those reward any extra ARX but I'm not even able to buy a simple skin for my ship as those are for 50 ARX if I remember correctly.
I can't even imagine how much time I would have to spend in game to reach the cap and not to mention the ARX required to buy a ship kit??!!

Is it a complaint? Maybe not but before ARX I was willing to spend some extra $$ in shop now I feel almost compelled not to.
I don't like virtual currencies and I refuse to support them. Seeing how much grind is required to get any reasonable amount of this "free" currency puts me off even more.

You know how many Arx I got from my last session of mining?

I have no idea and I couldn't give a toss.
I like flying pretend spaceships and that's been all the incentive I've ever needed to play ED.

According to the doodad on the main menu, I have enough Arx to buy a couple of decals, so that'll be a nice bonus if I ever decide to bung them on a ship that suits 'em. (y)

I used to play a game where I know a few people spent over ten grand (real-world money) on in-game currency. Thing is, it depends on 1) how much money you have to start with and 2) what else you have to spend it on. If you're on £250k a year and have relatively few hobbies, spending ten grand on a game probably isn't going to mean your kids are missing meals or your missus is dressed in rags, at which point it's a value judgement for the individual based on how much enjoyment they get from what they spend.

I mean I wouldn't do it myself but then I'm not in the position that I described above.

Frontier advertised this feature as rewarding gameplay. Either make it so if you implement it, or don't implement it at all. This is my point. And since this feature is probably the root for a lot of current bugs I do think we would be better off without it. It both amounts to nothing and also breaks the game technically.
