Asteroid clusters.

I filtered them out in the nav panel. Only the FSS reminds me of their existence.

Feels like they've been abandoned by everyone including FDev. Does anyone actually mine at these? Do they have core asteroids there? Is there any benefit to visiting one? It would be cool if there was a reason to go there.

Or better yet, swap them for realistic asteroids on the scale of tens of kilometers, make them the only ones you see on the system screen/FSS, and then have smaller asteroids appear as random contacts as you fly through the belt. That way, you'd create an impression of a realistic asteroid belt with millions of smallish rocks and a few sub-planet-sized objects.

I suspect "rumours" were put in with some specific future content in mind, which has either been shelved or hasn't happened yet.

I just remembered there was an update long ago where the patch notes mentioned "Added prison cells", which were never found. Or maybe nobody ever found them and managed to escape them.
