Please change Exploration ARX (not an Open Letter)

It's a bit confusing they did it this way. It's meant to be a reward for "just playing the game" but for this element, you get the reward for a single action, selling.

Makes zero sense.
 
As many of us already know, the exploration activity is mainly rewarded with ARX when you sell the exploration data for profit.
The ARX earned during the real exploration gameplay (FSS scan, Surface Scan, Scanning Geological and Biological Elements) are instead really poor.

This system suggests that the best way for an explorer to earn ARX is by exploring system nearby the bubble and come back to a station to sell exploration data as much as possible to ensure you don't exceed the weekly cap.

PROBLEM:
This system rewards only casual explorers while they are doing also other activities and not "full-time" explorers.

All explorers that want to stay away from the bubble for very long time (weeks/months) are not well rewarded with ARX:
  • the ARX earned for scanning new systems and planets is around 8-10 ARX/hour. It means that a player needs to play the game for at least 40 hours/week to reach the weekly cap of 400 ARX
  • when the explorer finally returns from his expedition he could have enough data to earn thousands of ARX (especially if he was off for months, like during DW2). But the weekly cap will limit this to 400 ARX so months of gameplay are wasted in this respect. The only way around would be to sell data little by little over the weeks, but this means that the explorer can't leave the bubble for weeks just because of this.
SOLUTION:
Revert this process such that selling exploration data rewards only few ARX and improve the ones earned by fully scanning systems with the FSS, by surface scanning planets and by finding geologica/biological elements on planets surface.
This system would reward both casual and "full-time" explorers.
It's a valid issue, and I agree the ARX should be more heavily weighed more towards the exploration activity, not the selling.
 
It may just be an issue over the timing of the award, if you get it when you do the activity rather than when you cash in the data you have removed the cap applied to expeditions > 1 week.
 
It would seem that the great advantage which explorers have enjoyed so far, is that ARX did not tap into the exploration gameplay and BREAK it ! If we ask for exploration rewards, is that inviting trouble? Maybe the exploration ARX are functioning this way for a reason - they found the fault before release 🙂

Or remove the cap for receiving exploration Arx. Would be easier to build I guess.

but if you die with your data before sell it, you have won arx for doing absolutely nothing, don't you think that is a bit unfair to the other players?

But I really don't know how it works for everything, I just apply logic, and logic tells me that arx gain is related to that mechanics,something that transcends the game archives. Be flying around without killing ,without trading, without selling data ... I guess it was harder to implement to calculate arx profit,it's a bit obvious.
Anyway,you could read my previous answers, I said goodbye to this thread about 3 times, and I explain my point.
My intention was for some people to reason, not to argue about obvious question.Good look to you too.

think about this, if they implemented it as the OP says, then we would all earn twice as much arx, once when we visited the systems, and again when selling the data ... which would make the other tasks meaningless ... . Instead of looking for problems, look for solutions .... I've gone to SAG A in a couple of hours, you can't move your a+s to cologne or the bubble once a week and then go back to where you were? months in deep space? are you kidding me? maybe the fc will allow you to sell data, or facilitate that strange way of playing videogames.

I am more interested in that every day, the same people, stop opening silly threads with always the same issues, as if they were never happy with anything, and every day they invent something new, making it difficult for other users to find interesting topics.

I am happy and you are not ,I think I know the mechanics better than you, I have already won 1600 free arx and going up . :/
