The last couple of pages sums up some of the anti-ADS crowd's behaviour - malicious and mean spirited. The can't answer why an optional module will affect their enjoyment of the FSS, or they state that they are opposed because of the forum whining, as if what is said on forums will affect their gameplay in some way.

They flaunt their almost schadenfreude-esque pleasure from trying to prevent something which will aid others. Pretty low act.

And for the record, I do not want the ADS back, but I fully support those that do, as an optional module.

They didn’t start out being like that.

When everyone can have what they want, no compromise is required.

It’s the so-called compromises that are the traps - new development that will not happen anytime soon,

I'm in the same boat. I find it very difficult to get bored of, probably because everytime I use it, I see something different.

One would have thought @Stigbob would be in favor of it if that were the case.

Arguably what FDev are implementing by forcing the use of only one tool is a controlled economy. Freemarket capitalism would allow for competition between tools.

The tactics are the same, no? Drag discussion down to the level of pointless arguments about personal preferences and feelings, then bait people to discuss posters, and wait for when the moderators will lock it down. If that seems to take too long, somebody will pop in with some inappropriate gifs and/or politics, and bam, thread's locked.

Personally, I'd like to ask people to refrain from feeding the trolls. Nobody's opinions matter here, and there are always people who will either refuse to change their minds no matter what, or who will flip-flop for the sake of argument and attention. But if you want change, it's mostly Frontier's mind(s) you have to change, and not any single CMDR's.
Well, to be precise, it's management's mind. I wouldn't be surprised if some developers would rather revisit exploration and improve on it, but have to work on other things. Expansion in the works, after all.

The last distinct argument you suggested was that if other people were given the chance to avoid the fss, regardless of whether they did or not, that would make you upset and ruin your game. You expect anyone to take that seriously?
