Made Rear Admiral, any benefit to grinding higher ranks?

All I know is I'm an Admiral and a King, and not once has an NPC or traffic controller referred to me as Sir or Your Grace.....shameful. :D

Currently I'm rank 7 (Baron) in the Empire and will start slowly working my way up, but I'm not in a hurry since the Cutter doesn't appeal to me that much unless I decide to become a major trader.

Actually with the current update in december this year you may see fleet carriers as admiral rank ships. Mainly because thus is what admirals run. Fleets

I did both admiral and king on 2 accounts before the patch where they killed mission stacking properly.

Not sure if its still as good as it was when the bubble for destination missions was set much smaller than it is now.. see some kids were willing to board hop forever to fill up but i never was. It was an epic bubble exploration game too to find your own systems where you could stack missions. Things literally were better in the past for elite.

Re: frontier have the balls to gate fleet carries behind admiral rank? Funniest thing ive ever heard. Literally hilarious.

I just want to see everyone panic when fleet carriers drop. Folks have been that focused on grinding credits but I'd guess that fleet carriers could well be rank locked also

Hehe, I am hoping that FD introduce a completely new rank structure for the Alliance, and everyone starts at the bottom. Then make the carrier rank based on that. It would be fair, everyone starts off at the same level :D

Im not sure honestly its all speculation especially by obsidian from youtube that gives frequent updates on elite dangerous. Im pretty sure it will be equivalent to kind rank as well if they go that route.

Everyone started off at the same, fair (bottom) level on the Imp and Fed ranks as well...

perhaps the SSCF should open up a gyros shop to help fund the campaign

After I got RA and a Vette I stopped paying attention. Just looked and I'm 54% RA rank anyway. I tend to stick exclusively to fed factions anyway. Just keep plodding on and it'll happen anyway. (And it's nice to see it happening without knowing as opposed to obsessing over that REP++++ mission that gains you....... 0.9%)
