This sounds like they did call us - all of us, right here, in these forums, explained they've heard us complaining about all the bugs, heard us cry out they should simply stop everything and fix these before they pile more features on top and make things worse, and they've listened.

You are right, they did call us. But to go back to your exemple, when your calling your client, if they ask why, whats the problem? You won't hang up on them right? Well ever since this thing was posted I didn't see anything about that subject being explained by the dev.

Now I know it's pushing the metaphore a bit far, and again since it is a community of a couple millions players, it would be super hard to explain to everyone, so silence might be preferable.

BUUUUUT! Then again, if it's the code, tell us. If it's the moon phases tell us. Why in the world do you need close to a year to fix bugs that you were barely acknowledging before the petition?? I want to know why! Because when you know why, people will stop thinking that it's only a PR stunt to put less people on the game and more on another title.

And I remember a part of the community letter talking about communication... so we got half of it.

It could be! I surely hope it is not, but is it coming 2020? or are they going to split out the content into more than one DLC, or are they trying to drop the ball without anyone noticing? Icarus Cup kind of way?

The fact is we don't know, but there is precedent, both ways.

The horizon DLC was not expected, big surprise and was an instant win.
CQC, powerplay, and some other aspect are completely left out, forgotten and buried.

It's hard to know for a fact how it will turn out.

So FD released a trailer in august (almost september) for a release in december. In october they decided to not release the content because now they will focus on fixing bugs for 8 months.
I don't see any logic in that.

I keep saying something structurally is wrong at ED. How many companies release a trailer for something and have to pull it 6 weeks later? It’s a shambles. This game, in the hands of a competent development team, could be great.

It took real comitment to squander an IP thats so strong it lasted 30 odd years in hibernation and still had fanboys at the other end. Elite and battletech...think of any others?

I can't say anything about the developpement process cause I have no idea of how it works. My field is communication and I can surely say that the team making the decision are not getting the right feedback.

They did not ignore feedback. In fact they implemented some of the feedback. They just didn't bring back the ADS which obviously means in your eyes that they ignored the feedback.

Im afraid to answer incase you start calling me names. The white knights round here are well established, they would defend any critisism of frontier to the death of the thread no matter how weak their position. All the forum regulars know who they are

There are white knights. Just fewer of them now (even some of those guys have given up). Think what you like. It doesn’t affect me. I gave up thinking FDev can deliver anything other than a boring mess a long time ago and yet to see anything that doesn’t reinforce that view.
