The Games May Change, But...

The complaints remain the same.

"The dev's don't play their own game".

"How about fixing the bugs, before adding unwanted features".

"They only care about the money".

"They never communicate".

The most likely reason for this is twofold. First- Gamers complain a lot. Second, their complaints are legitimate. :(

Third: Their expectations of the game, are greater than the end product. This could be due to the hype, surrounding the game itself, or simply the player, expected more.

However: F.D. have always, been vague about many details and how to play, this game. Trail and error and a steep learning curve; are major parts, of this games playing dynamic.

People have changed. It's OK to be a butthole now. Everybody's a snowflake.

It's not really the hype.
It's more that some players approach every game with the expectation that this time it will be their perfect game and it obviously never is.

With each GTA edition, I enjoyed each new one, more and more and I played them all, from the top down views, onwards; until San Andreas. That to me, was the best and others that came afterwards, never had the same appeal, to me.

Indeed, and I've learned to temper my expectations. The problem is that not only expectations might be unrealistic, but we have become dependent on inherently unreliable products produced by vendors. Both sides are responsible for the continuous conflict.

True. I think the good ol' capitalism would kick in pretty quick if players were actually responsible buyers. If people stopped buying games they don't like, the message would go through. As it is, people are sheep. If players are going to readily give devs money for P2W MTXs, why SHOULDN'T they base the game around them instead of, I don't know, a good story.

A lot less vague about how to play the game, nowadays. The tutorials revamp in the September update was apparently so good even Yamiks was forced to admit it. :D
