Jameson Memorial - what is the attraction?

Type in Founders World in the galaxy map search. Presto you're at Shinrarta Dezhra. I actually went getting allied with every faction in Jameson Memorial (I was bored) and there were some much more profitable missions which were unique to many other systems I am allied with. Playing ED is complicated and look past the obvious. You figure it out.

With ED's credit inflation, "expensive" is a feature not a bug, LOL.
Its not my home but if it were it would be because my lazy ass can't be bothered with module availability.
You forgot one big reason:Nope, although I personally think FD could have done more to make the station a little more unique, even if it is just to bring it into line with the Lore surrounding Commander Jameson.
I am just trying to work out why so many call it home, maybe I am missing something or not part of the kewl gang?
It's near a ton of engineers, heck, there's one right there in ShinDez.
You can slap a Guardian frame shift booster onto pretty much any ship and make it easy to fly to all the significant engineers. It's possible to fully engineer a ship in about half a day.
I've got all the local materials traders charted out too. Easy peasy.
For me, it's the pure convenience of not having to hop system to system to find the ships and modules I want - they're just there, and Lori is only a short hop away to engineer those hard-to-reach components.

For me, Jameson Memorial is like a Sam's Club combined with a mini-storage. It's a member only store that is nearly a one-stop-shop, at discounted prices, and I can park my ship collection out back while I roam around in my space RV.

Outfitting convenience is all I use Shinrarta for. Start most of my new builds there.
I "live" at Jameson. For the convenience of course but I do think it needs redecorating somewhat. A unique station type would also be welcome.

I too hang my hat at Jameson. For several reasons. But since the OP asked and answered his own questions, I won't bother posting mine.
And yea, I agree a nicer station would be cool, but the designer of this game apparently can't be bothered to finish/fix more important issues/bugs, so I'm not holding my breath.
I'm sure the LEP'ers can buy one there
Regarding, OP, I only go to Jameson when I am ready to buy a ship and kit it out. Eliminates the hassle of having to go to multiple systems for modules, weapons, etc. Just fly a dbx there, buy your ship, buy all your modules, weapons utilities and then fly it out. Can either sell the dbx or ship it back to the original system. Other than that, I agree, Jameson is just, meh.
