and fill it with G5 materials and data = win
Not a bad idea either. Maybe not "fill", but make some of the random rare ones spawn amongst the wreckage. That'd be really cool!

And once again, you're mistaken if you believe what that character wrote in the aftermath of the event. I'll write the truth again so it's crystal clear.Incident, fiasco, farce, sham.. different people have different names for it. I didn't really pay much attention to it, as I knew exactly how it was going to play out from the word go - inside job. Just had no idea who the insder would be. Turns out it was the fellow named after a character from a series I despise.
It's been hinted at Lavecon 2016 IIRC. About time to make it real!
Pretty please, Frontier?![]()
What? Where? Explain.
I hail from a distant land, have a full-time job, a full-time family, a dozen hobbies and no time for these conventions.
Too late. The Flimley is aroused.Dogs begin to bark, and hounds begin to howl.Talking about a graveyard, this thread was dug up from one...
Is it archeology day today?
The only thing that has come close to being “retconned” from the elite Dangerous era are related to game mechanics such as dark systems and Mis-jumps. Everything else is still in play. Its old lore which has been retconned and binned.
My advice is to forget about it.

This was one of the biggest lore breakers that occurred in the 'Great Lore RetCon' of 2017. This, amongst a few other notable trashings of the established lore, was one of the reasons I gave up trying to keep tabs on it. Post v2.3 of Elite Dangerous much of the original Elite Dangerous lore as used to construct the original game and narrative backdrop no longer applied, or was ignored in favour of hastily added gameplay dynamics.
My original lore articles have been preserved by Canonn - you can find them here.
Up to v2.2 there had been a big effort in consistency on the lore. Then it changed and the lore was ignored/rewritten/bypassed because 'gameplay'.
It was also around this time that promised 'old elite lore' inclusions (eg. the Tionisla Orbital Graveyard) were quietly dropped and never mentioned again. There may be some conclusions to be drawn.
Nope. All ongoing lore has been stopped, and anything by Drew Wagar and others is now either in limbo or binned.
To quote Drew Wagar here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...-explained-by-lore.527474/page-3#post-8112238

Emphasis mine.
@Will Flanagan @Stephen Benedetti - can you guys confirm if this is true? Has most of the old lore was dumped? And were the Tionisla Graveyard implementation plans scrapped as well?
Would really appreciate some clarification here. A lot of people care about lore, so maybe some official word (like a separate official thread maybe?) on what's been killed and what's still valid would be awesome...
