Simple yet poetic.
The time it happened to me I was woken by the dulcet tones of my ship telling me to eject... eject... eject... 
I used to FUI, but now I don't. I'm on a long distance (12 month+) exploration trip and I really can't keep flying into stars.
I'm convinsed that I never drink so much that it makes me pass out,.......hmm maybe its because I can't remember passing out.

More of a tea man while playing. Really good on those long supercruise journeys: get up, boil kettle, look out window (I have a pahutukawa and a lemon tree outside the kitchen window: the birds love the pahutukawa flowers @ this time of year, the whole tree's heaving with avians!), check to see if I'm there yet, back to kitchen, remove tea bag, add milk, sit down, I'm there!!

Got to be said the new SC auto pilot is a boon. Set for far away station, I make a brew, come back 10 mins later and engage docking computer. So much more relaxing.
I love playing video games when steaming drunk .. more so when hardocre/permadeath rules are in place
Love CQC when over the limit, was doing this last night whilst listening to the (cricket) test match, New Zealand v England also trying to chat with Aussies (they playing Pakistan) but they gave me short shrift, were drunker than me and it was only lunchtime there!

You know your perspective is, just let your hands work the controls as tho you were straight. Never did that in this game but several years back in MWO on Frozen City, fell asleep while running my Timberwolf and woke up to see it running into a wall clear on the other side of the map while the battle raged on and no one even noticed.......
