How to get allied with factions that don't own a station (Robigo run...)?

Hi,

trying to get the Robigo tourism tours set up to accelerate my money making on my way to an Anaconda. I delivered enough cartographic data to Robigo Mines to become allied with Sirius Corporation to be able to get passenger missions from them. But Sirius controls all stations in the system and I don't seem to see a way how to get allied with the other factions (Robigo Cartel, CDE Corporation) to be able to pick up more passenger missions to make the Sothis run as lucrative as possible. These factions don't seem to offer many missions across Robigo's stations. I'm out here in Robigo with my ASP Explorer, but plan to bring in a Python outfitted as a passenger ship.

So the questions to experienced Robigo runners:
  • is there a method to level up the two alt factions in the system?
  • is Sirius Corp the main source for these missions and I should just run with their missions?
  • is there any current change in the system that makes the Robigo run less lucrative?

Thanks is advance,

CMDR NeokeVenice

Thanks, will aim to unlock that allied status for all 3. Seems that Frontier makes us work before we can set up our tourism business ;)

Do missions for them. Pick Rep++++ missions when possible.
You dont need to be allied to do missions, but being allied means you will get more profitable missions

Edit: and you do want to be allied with all 3 factions

Update: none of the 2 alt factions offers any missions across the whole system... Maybe Frontier did nerf the tourism business after all?

There’s a few BGS-locked factions in far-off stations. There’s probably a player group keeping them there. A faction can be kept in a negative state where they don’t give missions, bounties, or have many way of gaining rep with them if you don’t already have rep. They probably have very low influence too and don’t exist in any other system.

All you can do is knock down the influence of the next highest faction to force them into war with the faction that you’re trying to get rep for. But depending on how much influence you have to drop, how populated the system, and how popular the system is....and if there’s a player group activity working to keep that faction BGS locked, forget it.

That 100 Mil/hr is pretty nice once you get set up properly and are allied with all factions

Slightly less boring than mining...

Once a month or so I drop by to throw another Bil in the bank

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Some other times, the 1-2 Sightseeing missions to Sothis / Sirius Atmospherics get lost between the zillions of longer range missions.
If they dont offer sightseeing missions, check the normal mission board and maybe ferry some cargo or do some data missions runs to build up rep.

Robigo passenger missions (rather than mission-board missions) are not only more lucrative when allied, they are also quicker than regular missions to gain rep with. But it's normal for factions not to offer passenger missions until you're at least Cordial, so gaining that initial rep can involve searching for whatever mission you can get that has a Rep reward option (or donation missions if they come up).

This^^^.
It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I had to get my rep up doing other stuff before I got any passenger missions.
I think (for some reason 🤷‍♀️) I used Sirotanovic's Legacy.
Some people use Hauser's Reach, but I avoid it because of the gravity well.

Thanks all for your replies. Still no regular missions from the 2 other factions. They have passenger missions that I can't access yet, but no regular missions to bump up my rep. I'll transfer my bounty hunting Vulture and start shaking up the local extraction sites to see if that helps. Will keep you posted!

Could be BGS states, I notice the other two factions are recovering from outbreak/pirate attack, so things may improve soon.
Dunno much about BGS these days. 🤷‍♀️

It's been awhile but I think that I did missions at Hauser's Reach orbiting station which eventually became allied with all factions at Robigo Mines. I also went for allied with all Ceos and Sothis factions.

Thanks, will start with these missions at Hauser's Reach. Do you think that allied status with Ceos and Sothis has an influence on the reputation with Robigo factions? What other benefit does it have?

Nope, the other 2 factions in Robigo are present only in Robigo.
So you need to please the right there in Robigo

I did Ceos Sothis missions mostly for the Federation ranking. Still they could help if they have any missions going to Robigo.

The other two factions in Robigo are both Anarchy factions, which are now notoriously hard to become Friendly with in isolated stations such as Robigo as they never offer missions to non-Friends, they own no stations to slam in Exploration data or other station-owning rep-boosts and there are no nearby stations offering missions inbound to the factions in Robigo. Your only option is to try to flip the system by smashing up Sirius Corp cops and civilians... but this will obviously make you Hostile to Sirius Corp, which is generally not a good idea given the number of stations they own along the Sothis Spur (nor is it a good idea given your ultimate gola of becoming Allied with all factions in Robigo, including Sirius Corp). Meanwhile, everyone else is using Robigo to level up their rep with Sirius Corp so they can access Qwent/Palin, so I think anything less than a major player organization pushing a coup is going to fail.

Thanks for the input! UPDATE: I FOUND A WAY TO INCREASE MY REP WITH THE TWO FACTIONS WITHOUT GOING TO WAR :) Here's what I learned: There are 1-2 hauler mega ships crossing through the system at the moment. And sometimes, very rarely, the two anarchy factions will offer missions to take out the turret systems on the haulers. The obvious problem being that the mega ships are owned and operated by Sirius Corp. So shooting them up resulted in bounties and time consuming deportation to the detention center... BUT: there is a method to destroy the turret systems WITHOUT being penalized! If you bump/crash into the energy supply of the turrets you take them out, fulfill the mission objective, but don't get a bounty as you don't fire one single shot. This was quite a revelation. Now I load up on the faction turret missions whenever they show up (again, very rarely), go to the mega ship, bump/crash/destroy the turrets one by one without trouble. There's even an added benefit: every now then then the mega ship gets attacked by a fleet of NPC pirates. Now you can actually hunt down a high value NPC wanted target (usually an Anaconda with the pirate fleet) with full support of the mega ship defenses. So it's an easy win on the side, supported by the ship you are dismantling in the first place. It's an interesting loop/glitch and I am having a blast with it :)

When allied with all Robigo factions here is my dedicated engineered version of a Python build credit making machine. You don't even need the weapons or any utilities as the ship flies so fast no NPC will ever interdict you. I just keep them installed to feel good and they have no effect on the trip out and back. With great flying I've never used them. The class 3H Guardian FSD Booster is important doing two jumps instead of three. Thus basically 10-11 hours game play nets you another billion credits. Have fun until Frontier nerfs this.
