Deep Core Wing Mining is absolutely broken.

Frontier, have a group of 4 wingmates go mining with Seismic charges, the deep core mining mechanics are absolutely incompatible with wings for some reason. The charges are buggy in that they fail to show the yield progress in the top right. At a certain point, the seismic charge instantly explode if they are placed by wingmates that are not the wing leader. pls fix.

You should make a bug report on the issue tracker. Doesn't sound like this is working as intended.

For something as basic and obvious as this we really don't need a bug report. This is an issue that should have been tested by the imaginary QA team. Or do they only have one member in that team? Then sure, they can't test multiplayer. But come one. The only thing that had to be done was testing that feature with one other person, this is utterly easy to reproduce. We can't make a bug report for everything, it's just too many bugs. Let's focus on testing the more I obviously bugs such as fighters causing significant lag or the old satellite reset bug where you could farm infinite data.

I want more detail. What was each in the wing doing? Was 3 just flying around doing nothing?

Me, so we figured out that if you each fire off a prospector, it will lead to an insta-explode bug, but if you only fire one prospector, and the one who fired it sets the charges, then the bug does not show up. Wing mining is still broken, but there is a work around

The best idea is a bug report. Maybe get a video of it. If you have an issue of video. I might be able to help you with that.

I'll get a video up soon and submit it to the bug tracker. It's not a long winded experiment that we performed but the instant explosion bug really deflated our mining hopes.

Same issues. Most frustrating. Roids can also be mined at least twice by both in the wing. Can't comment on 2+ wings. I imagine the issue isn't such a problem with normal roids. But one can imagine more conflicts when trying to blow up a roid more than once... Whole mechanic drops itself. Real shame. Me and another commander had developed a team mining wing. One mining, one collecting and transporting. We've had to abandon that idea, which would've added an awesome layer to gameplay. Standing by for update.

Yup I want to add onto this as well, tried mining with a friend in a wing and when you're both around the same asteroid, placing charges and trying to blow it up is completely broken, sometimes firing the first charge will prompt the game to show 'detonation failed, 1 resource chunk freed', sometimes you'll be able to get the bar into the blue zone but the detonation never occurs. Tried this in multicrew as well at one point and the exact same thing happened. Why this issue is still being neglected is beyond me

Good Morning Everybody and Elite Dangerous BUG Fixing Support Crew and Employees.

Yesterday Evening, a long time in Galaxy. Some of my friends started to play elite (after a long break of month) with me.
I wanted to show them how BEAUTIFUL DEEP CORE Mining is (at least when you do it alone in an instance and not in a wing in the same instance).
Sooo, I already had about 45t of VOID OPALS CARGO and maybe 3 in the refinery. I Told him "He mate, drop on my SPOT"
We fought off the NPC´s and then i found a lucky charm. A bright asteroid filled with VOID OPALS (I was able to send the Prospector drone on it)
So I told him. "FIRE YOUR OWN PROSPECTOR" To see whats inside!
He did. But He just saw Water and some low minerals!
Till this point i had no idea what will gonna happen.
So I loggend on my connectted Prospector Drone and checked the asteroid Fissures.
Hmm thats tasty, lets put some Seismic charges and crack that golden egg.
I Charged a seismic charge "AIMED CORRECTLY" on the fissures and what happens!
It flys, hits and explodes immediately. So i could not send another charge on this fissure.
OK, It´s ok. Just look for a new one. Be patient. You´ve Time. I told myself.
Second fissure same thing. (I was in about 300 - 400m distance to the asteroid to get CLEAR good aimed shot of seismic charges)
So my friend was looking me from around 1,5 km away and i told him " BE PREPARED MAYBE SOME CHUNKS (via ELITE DANGEROUS MINING BUG OR ISSUES) will fly around and you might be able to pick them up, a refine them yourself in your refinery!

OHH DEAR. 3rd try, found another FISSURE. Still same asteroid. Charging - > A HIGH YIELD and told my self this is it. Go little CHARGE . YOU CAN , do it.
In deed. This last 3rd beautiful high YIELD CHARGE hit the asteroid, I was 300 - 400m away. Asteroid instantly cracks (i had no shields, why would I if I normaly have 110sec. to recover and get in to a safe distance of 1,8 km from first connection of seismic charge)

And I was with my 45t, 199t LIMPITS and 3 VOID Opals in my refiney without any shields "TRUSTED DONKEY" PYTHON in a range, that would even hurt a cutter.
So I blew up, all my goods (My friend in my wing watching this saw everything). I laughed, because at least this was for ME just a joke 4,6mill rebuy.
But in his case (IF THIS HAPPENS to new PLAYERS) he wouldn´t be able to rebuy.
Oh and don´t forget the market value of the VOID OPALS (45t x 1,6million = 72Mill. QUATOR, QUATOR STATION) I think its important that I´ve worked for the 45t around 1 hour of my lifetime for nothing (ok at least I was able to laugh about it) Because I now understand how rich people laugh about that happens to them.

LUCKY and sad. So All these words. Try to describe, what happened.
DEAR COMMANDERS! UNTIL NOW, NEVER GO TOGETHER DEEPCORE MINING IN SAME INSTANCE.
I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THIS POST EARLIER!

And please forgive me. I´m not yelling. Just trying to POINT OUT the issue that happens in supporting and bringing excitement to other pilots.

With best regards and lovely greetings from Myself.

This was reported on day one of the beta, and to-date ignored by FDev. :(

Well Thanks Commander Mate. I think I made my point. I´m happy with myself. And complaining like IT IS to point out issues, if it does not change or matter to Frontier Developers.
Well. Like some people said. Maybe just a trainee alone, totally excited is on his own.
Well as long the money is flowing and the honey is growing like the Chemical brothers made in there song. Sings will stay same

Some time ago David Braben told us something in the lines of Frontier will focus on aspects where they spot the greatest interest in. So such an ignoring behavior strongly indicates that multiplayer mechanics are not used by a majority of players. Not quite easy to find an alternative conclusion...

I'd assume if more players would suffer from it, this issue would be flooding the forums all around. That's all wild guessing though. As a solo player it's impossible to get a feel for multiplayer activities and whether I'm part of a majority or not.

Thats true.
I´ll tell my friends to leave a post a spread the word.
The ones who want to have a change, will write the ones who don´t, not.
So thanks for this feedback and yeah. We found a solution (10km from my asteroid or more) I was today able to crack it up and share the load. As long they don´t scan my prospector limpit it works easy. They one who finds a core, must be the one working with the information until its cracked up.
In the end (I´m so happy) I was ready to share with both fresh players (or poor in this case) about 28t VOID OPALS with each.
So both are now with there savings ready to CRANK it up, with there PYTHONS and start mining on there own, to get some good basic money.
From there on, EXPLORATION or what ever they want to do is pretty much safe. UNLESS! They find a way to blow themselfs up easily ^^
o7 Commanders.
See you out there

I have an update here on this issue. A buddy and me decided to give it a try and in an effort to not steal each other's asteroids, we decided to mine apart for a bit. Much to my surprise, everything worked appropriately. Until I filled up on Void Opals and decided to check on him. I used my Pulse Wave Analyzer and decided to crack another one open to round out my cargo. The instant exploding issue occurred again.... I took off a distance and tried again, and it worked!

This even led me to a hypothesis: "Pulse Wave Analyzers in a wing seem to affect Seismic Charges in some way. If an asteroid is pulsed by one pilot, the charges perform nominally, however if the asteroid is pulsed by multiple pilots, the charges cease to perform as intended."

There must be some sort of broken connection between Seismic Charges, Pulse Wave Analyzer, and Wings.

I just tried to deep core mine in a wing and having the same issue. But my buddy had now mining equipment on him just a transport with collector limpets. So I don't think it is the pulse wave analyzer.
