'Slange' does sound rather pathogenic.
I suspect, Morbad, that you are pronouncing my name incorrectly with a long "a", as in phage or mange. My name actually is pronounced with a short "a", as in angelic.

Up until this thread, I have had dyslexic thing and have always read it as, Strange lands. I guess that you being female, kind of fits with that; because you are all strange lands, to us dumb males.I suspect, Morbad, that you are pronouncing my name incorrectly with a long "a", as in phage or mange. LOL, You do create some great videos, Morbad.Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ugmN_UDPmY
I talk to NPCs all the time, doesn't mean I think they're human, just better conversationalists.
Reminds me of this:
I was horsing around at one of the first generation ships discovered, when I spotted a quintuple frag Python. Since I was in a Condor and Codor are immune to quintuple frag Python, I decided to tease him a bit by showing him that quintuple frag Python were really bad at fighting Condor. Well, he mistook a completely innocent bystander for the mothership that had launched my Condor and proceeded to demonstrate that a quintuple frag Python was really good at destroying exploration Anaconda. After that I tried to avenge this depraved indifference to target information by shooting at the Python until he either left or my Condor melted.
Luckily there's still solo and private for people who can't handle defeat. The AI doesn't care.

I did it once back in 2014. Was so funny when I realized what happened.I saw one guy on Youtube responding to a message of NPC pirate when asked about cargo. That was saddest message while playing in openbecause he thought he speaking with human

The worst that will happen is that you lose credits, which are now meaningless anyway.
It's usually only when you're not looking for PvP that you'll have risk / defeat condition, like a cargo you don't want to lose or being on an errand you don't want to take too long.
LOL, You do create some great videos, Morbad.
Or NPC crew, which are about to be rendered immortal.
Precisely why I stick to Open, especially if I'm not explicitly looking for PvP.
I just record what my CMDR sees. It's the varied cast of players encountered that provide the entertainment.
You do your thing, I'm not telling anyone how to play the game.
A cmd asked why are you in a Dolphin in a ganker system like this. Its a shame most people can't enjoy open and explore this amazing game.
To be fair, if you are in "a ganker system", in a Dolphin then you are probably not really exploring, are you? o7
Sorry for the misunderstanding I meant exploring the games features not exploring in deep spaceTo be fair, if you are in "a ganker system", in a Dolphin then you are probably not really exploring, are you? o7
So what?Life is hard for the pirates in this game![]()
What makes you think people that don't like PvP can't win.?Luckily there's still solo and private for people who can't handle defeat. The AI doesn't care.
I mean, there really isn't much we can offer you in form of advice. The game is what it is.
Because people I gank who beg me to stop because they don't want PvP always have terrible flight skills. What makes you think people that don't like PvP can't win.?
Hahaha. Had something similar once in one of my bid ships. I wasn’t armed but I have a real tanky hull and shield on it. Some dude in an eagle or something decided he wanted what I had and pulled me down, spun around and for whatever reason decided to fly directly at me. Got no guns but I do have RAMMING SPEEEEED! Lol. Splat.True story:-
Decided to visit the Bug Killer site in my Corvette, on the way back from getting DD5s for it.
Landed on the surface.
I get a message from somebody saying "Is your Anaconda armed?"
I replied "No, it's an exploration ship"
Next thing I know, there's an AspX shooting at me with, presumably, a pair of C1 pulse lasers or something.
I take off, knock out his shield, melt his hull down to about 5% and then stop shooting.
I get a message saying "U SED U HAD NO WEPS!!!!!"
I replied "Dude, this isn't my Anaconda"

Pirates will eat anything. When I'm hauling 280t biowaste they are always talking about my "tasty" cargo.
