Best way to lose money? yep lose it!

One option in the menu...

Apparently people were quite adept at clicking it by accident...

Of course, the most common way to do it, by far, is to buy a ship you can barely afford, barely upgrade it and think that you are invincible cos yours is the biggest...

Cue forgetting that ship size (cost) does not equal a massive jump in players skill level and a lack of insurance...

Loss of big expensive ship, all those credits, all that time, but, on the forum side, we do gain a good bit of salt...

Heh heh, I did that! Before I got Horizons I bought an anaconda, A-rated everything, then stacked some missions out of Leonard Nimoy station. Got destroyed several times by the thugs that were sent out to wreck my missions. After several days of sulking I bought Horizons and got into engineering!

Doing donation missions, especially when you have all the ranks/permits available from that side.

Not unbinding eject all cargo instead place it adjacent to the landing gear and boost keys.

Buying a big ship in a station with no core modules available and trying to fly it to a station that does preferably one in a hot spot system.

Ship transfers between the two most distant locations that have shipyards.

A rate a Cutter - fully load the cargo bay with the most expensive cargo you can find..
crash and burn... pick the sidewinder option on restart..
rinse and repeat as this will loose you 1.6Bn - 2Bn per cycle.. (depending on what cargo you have in the hold)

Visit Shinrarta in open, put ship on autocruise and wait ...

Been there today and yesterday. Lost about 400 Mcr.
Now I have a new Corvette, some 7A thrusters for a T-9 I will never use and some modules for a T-7 and T-6. Visiting Shinrarta Dezradawhateverz is indeed costly, but not because of rebuys - because of new buys :D

Maybe I should buy an other FDS? Not sure what to do with it that I can't do with one of my other 4 FDS, but for just 8 Mcr - it's a steal, almost like getting money!

Those ship sales are poison for my credit balance.

Sending your fleet on a trip to Colonia wins my vote as well.

Personally, I have never lost more than about 10 million credits - the one and only time my Corvette got shot down before I had the good sense to upgrade it properly.
