You can pretty much pinpoint the day when they started to loose people due to not_enough_capacity .The vast majority of Deaths has happened in the last five days . Just remember, Lombardy went into Lockdown on March 8th, and it was extented to the whole nation on March 10th .

Yeah, witnessed the same multiple times already in different locations.
The joke will be on them eventually, they just haven't realized it yet.
On a more serious issue, the officials are now slowly beginning to realize that telling the youngsters/kids that the COVID19 contamination typically has none or minimal effect on them is leading to irresponsible behavior, as the kids don't get that they can easily infect countless other people (or don't care).
Seems they'll soon go on the offense to educate them to adopt a more responsible behavior. Looking at that Generation, though... unsure if that'll suffice.
Will need drastic sanctions (and the fear thereof) to get those in line IMHO

Judging from the livestreamchats of various events ( Pressconferences etc.) in the last few days, many of the youngsters are mainly concerned about when schools get closed . So maybe not all too irresponsible ? [/i] .
One of the reasons why the Federation States hesitate to shut down schools and kindergardens nationwide simultaneously is them thinking it wont necessarily make things better . Seems some of them understand our Youngsters pretty well XD . After todays meeting of Heads. of the Federation States, the sentiment was that it is advantageous to be able to act differently acc. the specific situation . In Germany, Federal Law allows these decisions to be taken on the communal level already .Schools, kindergardens, Universities have been closed in "select" ( xcuse the wording) areas for a while already . My town ( approx. 78k peeps ) has gone beyond the 1000people_events_not_happening via Stadtverordnung . Maybe its on Kreis lvl also, not sure about that one atmo ( but i'd be amazed if not ).
edit: Just read we have 1 sick in town, 3 in the Landkreis . A neighbouring Landkreis has announced they are closing down 1 school .

The guy who said 2 weeks ago the politicizing of the Coronovirus, the criticism of his administration's handling of the crisis would be the democrats new hoax, has closed down the USA for air travel from Europe ( to be precise, Europeans coming from Europe may not travel into the US for the next 4 weeks or so . If you are a US citizen/have a green card, no travel restrictions apply ), claiming Europe has failed to handle the Situation correctly which then lead to infections in the US . He did so without giving the EU some kind of prior notice or anything . Everyone was mildly surprised [/i] . Oh, forgot, if you come from the UK, you may still travel into the US, too . Hm.

The CDC has taken the numbers of people having been tested and the number of confirmed cases OFF their website start this week, so since then, it is some kind of research project to try and get some resemblance of "acccurate data" for the country . IIRC, some of their reasoning is that they have largely privatized testing . Does that mean the CDC is not able to centrally collect and display the data ?

Czech republic, Slovenjia and others lock down borders . In Germany, the number of confirmed infected has jumped by about 1k (!) within 24 hrs . Looks like we are about 1 week away from the first major hit .

He was 100% absolutely correct in what he said. And you know what? Despite getting off to a bumpy, less than perfect start America is doing as good as anyone else out there. Save the patting yourself on the back for when we all have this thing licked. Then you can go ahead and start counting up the score if that's your bag.

I need to correct myself, my knowledge about the CDC not displaying Data is outdated . I learned start of the week the Data was taken off, and was under the impression it has stayed like this since then . Actually, it looks like the CDC simply restructured their page, one can see their test related numbers on their page :

I am not counting up score, as I keep telling you . I am giving you INFORMATION, which you HOPEFULLY use to draw your OWN conclusions . I am telling you, your Country has tested LESS people in the last 6 weeks than another country within ONE week . I am telling you that imho you can NOT draw reliable conclusions about the Vectors the Virus travelled into your contry based on that comparably small sample . I am trying to make you specifically aware for days now that you understimate that whole thing, most likley based on insufficient Data and misinformation/misunderstanding . Whatever YOU make out of what I post is ENTIRELY up to YOU .

Wow. That CDC page changes fast . When I posted numbers about 2 hrs. ago, the page for Testnumbers had not been revisted/updated since 11th march - so the number I posted was of 11th march - while the number of cases reported already said last updated 12th March .
Number of tested people has gone up by about 2k since the page update 2 hrs ago., so now it reads 13.624 . But : "CDC is no longer reporting the number of persons under investigation (PUIs) that have been tested, as well as PUIs that have tested negative. Now that states are testing and reporting their own results, CDC’s numbers are not representative of all testing being done nationwide. "
