Oh, they may be, though that's highly anecdotal and utterly sets aside the fact that gun sales are up across the board and most of them are because of fear of civil unrest. If you don't understand this issue, gun ownership in America, then feel free to become informed. But if you're simply disseminating highly charged and inaccurate information on purpose (which is where my money is on) you should probably consider quitting while you're ahead.
where the first known case was reported at a military base in Kansas on March 11, 1918.
Then you just think you understand it.Some people are already being specifically targeted in the US so they have far more reasons to fear any civil unrest and therefore require self defence weapons.
I understand American gun culture, I just don't particularly admire it.

Having a name matters to prevent the use of other names that can be inaccurate or stigmatizing. It also gives us a standard format to use for any future coronavirus outbreaks."
Thank youWell if you're stocked and living isolated in the outback, then you're probably in the best place to be right now.
I listened to a radio interview with two US gunshop owners about it two days ago. They've never seen this many Asian-Americans buying guns and they all want them for self defence due to the reported attacks on them. They've also had a huge increase in their customers of all nationalities stockpiling ammo.
You need to be a very good shot to hit a virus.
Well take grandpas double barrel shotgun and shoot a couple of shots in the air, that will scare everyone offOne of my best friends is salesperson and range safety officer at one of the busiest gun stores in the area. They sold out of all their defensive ammo and the vast majority of their weapons. They closed at the end of last week and only opened for a couple days this week to deliver product that people had to wait for due to laws.
The most interesting thing to me is the number of conversations he had talking people out of purchasing a firearm. You got neophytes coming looking to buy something just to "scare someone." He sits 'em down and has a real heart to heart about how badly that will likely go for them. They end up buying something non-lethal for defense.
As far as the gun culture where I live I imagine there have been a lot of conversations like that.

Contributing to high sales, aside from what's already been brought up, is fear of looters in areas such as LA where I personally know a number of ultra liberal "guns are the devil!!!" types who have recently acquired not only a 12-gauge but an automatic pistol as well. I'm sure that many of our friends on the other side of the pond will ridicule, but they're probably the one's who haven't heard the speculation about discharging all of the maximum security prisons back into the general population that have been floating around. One of my best friends is salesperson and range safety officer at one of the busiest gun stores in the area. Thats just a blatantly untrue statement, stop trying to baitIn the UK life means 6 years and they spend half that in open prisons anyway so no real difference at all.

Unless they can build one, but that would require some brain activity. In the UK life means 6 years and they spend half that in open prisons anyway so no real difference at all. Without a large quantity of insecure firearms lying around for them to misuse we can just beat them up anyway.
Civil unrest can't strike Europe if the power goes out? It's not the wild west here and the vast majority (and by "vast" I mean 99.99% or better) of gun owners are responsible people who cause zero issues and pose no threat to society. The benefits of gun ownership in America dramatically and emphatically outweigh the drawbacks.I know what happened in US major cities when the power was merely out for a day or two...

Yeah I heard that this is a very long haul, so dig in commanders, resupply ain’t coming anytime soon. And bad news from Italy: despite an earlier tapering of of new cases, it seems to be increasing again with over 5000 new cases reported in the last 24h. This means there is no short-term end in sight with regards to total casualties, and mortality rate will continue to rise.![]()
