The more time it passes, the more likely than the four animals a pack becomes the norm for all future Planet Zoo DLCs, looking thru this forum and others it seems I'm not alone in my displeasure for this trend. I think that most members of the forum would agree, that if more animals are included then higher price DLCs are perfectly acceptable. The current DLC cost in the United States is 10 dollars, if I walk into a grocery store and buy a pack of gum, a water and a coffee it would come out to about the same. A game that brings so much happiness and allows for so many hours of entertainment is worth much more. My point is that a DLC that has a much more relevant number of animals, and we could discuss what this number should be, would easily be profitable for Frontier, at the end that is what matters to the company correct?
If the long tern support towards Planet Zoo is the same as Planet Coaster, we might only see an additional 10 packs, that is only 40 additional full animals at the current rate, this would be extremely disappointing, and it would not allow for any meaningful expansions to an otherwise amazing game. We could then forget about birds, small mammals and any significant variety of primates, etc. Can we as a forum come together and petition Frontier to revise their strategy when it comes to how many animals should be included in a DLC? At the very least we would engage them into providing some sort of feedback or answer, they have remained tied lip when it comes this, as if they just wanted to ignore the issue and make it go away. I'm not understanding the logic behind it, as a business, it just does not make sense. Some members said that they do not have enough members in the team, if this was the case, then why not hire more of them? If the issue is overhead cost, then have better marketing behind the game. Here in the U.S most people that I have talked to, had no idea this game even existed, without doing too much advertising I have already gotten many of my friends to purchase the game. It is an amazing game that should not be targeted only to gamers. As an example, I had never played a single video game, before playing Planet Zoo, and I love everything about it, just want more of it.
Can wet something going and changed the momentum on this, or two years from now you will be sitting there, looking at a very incomplete game and wonder if you could have done more. I know that some of you will say that there is always the possibility of the modding scene taking over, yes I learned about this too. Before you even think about it, look at that amazing Jaguar from Frontier and the one that was created by a mod, is not even close. We need Frontier to provide the animals with the quality that only they seem to offer. If not we will either be missing the majority of the animal kingdom or simply have a number of lesser quality player created animals. The monetary incentive is there, we just need Frontier to see it.
