Oh Yeah, superb idea to accelerate inflation and the general breakdown of the financial system ( which WILL come, fiat money systems do not last ) in times of Pandemic . Almost no better way to faciliate an even more all encompassing, global desaster .

lol, like the Central Banks aren't already doing it. Since decades.

If you'd look at how much of the M3 has already been wiped out so far in the last ~4 months, you'd realize the quantity we're talking here doesn't even fill the potholes.
We're not (I thought I made this crystal clear) talking about flooding the nations with currency they don't need.

🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago
No new deaths for 15 days. Flatlined.
Active cases down to 82, graph looks good.
1 new case yesterday

Fortunately he build a team of the best people to offer more advice.

Bannon, Moore, Miller and Mnuchin?
The Four Steves of the Apocalypse, I called them. And here we are.

I went shopping for the first time in over six weeks. An impression. :)

The weather is glorious, but our central square is a bit empty.

Not much happening near the cathedral either:

Normally the busiest shopping street:

The first clearly visible victims; the plants at my favourite pub have withered and died. :(

Fortunately, no tp shortage to be found. :D

For my part (I have this chance and also the will), already at 8 a.m, I am in the forest, in the freshness and the intense oxygen, I make my intense walk...

... then several other times during the day ...

:)

Yeah. My statement stands though, and your reply does not in the slightest devalidate it, or make it untrue . :)

"I think history will judge who's right on this debate, but I'd bet on President Voldemort's intuition," Navarro said in a Monday interview on the Fox News morning show Fox & Friends

FDA Warns Against Using Drugs Promoted By Voldemort After Reports Of ‘Poisoning And Death'

This notably does not include non drug substances, such as but not limited to, Purell, isopropyl alcohol, Clorox bleach, Lysol, Perasafe, Dettol and hydrogen peroxide. All perfectly liquid, sterile, and widely used in every hospital!

They must be safe.

Voldemort himself said so. Has he ever been wrong? Egghead scientists cannot compare to his instincts, right Peter Navarro? You don't need to listen to doctors, you can "Think Independently" by following whatever somebody else says.

I can't wait to see you self-injecting some Clorox, to show your support.

Did you even start to think through the consequences, at all ? Like, what that would have resulted in ?

yes, obviously coupled with quarentining/testing/social distancing and then allowing some people back home, then some more, then some more. Of course this is all with a heavy dose of hindsight.

Why time matters on an exponential curve:

In New York City, the site of the country’s largest outbreak, the experts noted fatalities could have been cut 50 to 80 percent if stay-at-home orders were put in place a week or two before March 22, when the orders took effect.

Corollary:
Reopening economies too soon will merely restart the curve at the current number of cases.

Yeah, here is the thing....for Germany, you would need a whole lot of medical staff...everywhere . A policeman does not do any medical diagonstic . Not even take a fever or the such . Also, you really would have a hard time to enforce quarantine...I mean people here are ing their pants about a VOLUNTARY tracking app that would help loads and tons in doing the contacttracing . I shudder thinking about what would happen if Germany would take peoples temperature at an Airport, and if fever put them in enforced quarantine.

Next : That first PCR test was developed mid Jan . You would have had nowhere NEAR the testing capacity to test everyone arriving at ariports, or borders when closing down quickly . Not to mention that between taking the PCR, and getting results, there could be 2, 3 days ( logistics and other stuff ) . Now, where to put all these people for that time ?

And that is not even mentioning the huge jams and Chaos on the borders, the Chaos on the Ariports....etc . ( when some countries around Germany closed thier borders uniltarerally, Autobahns to some borders were blocked for days, 60kms and more of tons of Metal standing around, blocking vital Transport, too... ) .

Even with hindisght, it is easy to make mistakes when not knowing local (like, national ) specifics, and not thinking things thorugh thouroughly .

Ok, had to remove a lot of political posts. Any more repeat offenders and it's straight to Infraction.

Looks to me like the UK is going to end it's lock-down the same way it started - with the government announcing something that has already happened. The lock-down only started after major sporting & other organisations started voluntarily shutting down - and now (despite the lock-down still being in effect) there seem to be increasing numbers of private cars on the roads* and lots of people out enjoying the sun.

* It was noticed that at the government press briefing yesterday they didn't mention the traffic numbers, which on previous days they announced to show how compliant everyone was being. Coincidence? maybe.

Interesting to compare how different countries react - the US seem to try and convince their government to stop the lock-down through assault rifles and demonstration, the UK just decides to ignore the rules :)

I wonder if the declining effect of the lockdown is at least partly behind the very slow tail-off in new cases 🤔
I too was out and about today (to be fair I’m out and about everyday) contributing to the overall increase in traffic/people and have also been noticing over the past week or so that things are increasingly getting back to normal levels, still quiet but definitely getting back up there.
Counties in Europe have started opening up again while they still have the virus circulating around so why not, how can anyone justify the country next door opening up while you’re still on lockdown.
Its either because governments are expecting a lot of vulnerable people to die anyway and they just want to keep things at a steady rate or it’s not as bad as they made out.

It's raining right now in St. Louis. Thunderstorm. I used to enjoy the weather a lot more when I owned a house. Now, with the isolation, it feels depressing.Like being trapped. :(

Definitely not going flying IRL tonight.
