it took me three weeks just to bind the thrusters correctly so I wouldn't ram into the ramp.... but then again, a mere 202 hours in a little over 3 weeks isn't really that much... is it?

The game is a great value, but my girlfriend thinks I spend far too much time playing

How long are you meant to stay in it lol? I am on 146 hours according to steam (probably much less) and I already have a Python and Anaconda, about 300mil credits and a Squadron xD I must admit the first 100 hours were spent wasting time learning how to play the game (I was not used to this type of game at all lol).
Is it easy to start Xeno hunting or do I really need engineering for that now? (I'm still a noob tbh xD)

Just kiddin. I got thousands of hours on my primary account, and I'm not even sure how many on my secondary account. One day you'll be there too. Same. In 2017, I played every single day for hours, so I ranked up a lot of hours. Steam says 7000+ hours or something, but I know that some of that time I left the game on and I went to bed or had some food etc, so not all those hours are actual true play time.
Lately, I've been playing my alt-acct, a copy I bought when it was on sale. I have already 580 hours on that one alone. Not playing everyday now though. Gardening. Baking. Learning Unreal. Plumbing. Cleaning. Playing on Switch. All those things a normal human house owner would do.
