I was looking around the web to see if some news outlets got extra bit of info, didn't find much yet but here's what I saw:

Some news (or misunderstanding?) from Gamestar.de
translation mine said:
[...] While you are able to, for instance, explore space stations or even the inside of the ships in Star Citizen, Elite players will only be able to stretch their legs on planets for the time being. Nonetheless a big step forwards. [...]

Ok. Can you see though that maybe they have decided PvP is where they want it to be?
If you don't really know of anything you need implemented, perhaps they are right?
cmom lmao pvp is not in a good place, that everyone can agree on. and its long overdue some attention.
ive already said what i think is needed in a general way , the specifics is down to the dev team. which is what i have said.
would bve nice if this dlc was focused on pvp for a change

Far from that. Scratch LEP, put in VR. If LEPers can quote an old Braben interview on proposed game features over and over again, I can do even more so because the game was actually marketed as a VR title when I bought it. Besides, entitlement is a very subjective thing. Only you know whether you have it or not. I feel entitled to ask for an answer on the VR question, and that is the truth! 😇

O7,
🙃
Like i said tell it to the console crowd who have never been given the option. You are NOT entitled to answers. They are NOT required to continue supporting VR

its as if you guys just cannot tolerate what im saying. as if the very idea of dev time focussed on pvp is unthinkable to you
I'd be totally behind the Devs spending time giving PvP meaning, you know what I mean, say a dedicated area, maybe just like San Tu, and dedicated ships perfectly balanced to pay against each other, each with their own strengths and weaknesses...

Oh, they already did just that, and the PvP'ers don't like it as the TTK is too short... and they can't take their 20 minute to kill ships there to be bored spitless exactly as they are in the main game...

All you mentioned thought were "op' ships, which to be fair everyone can have.
and Instancing and I'm not sure what that is. What else is there to move it to a good place?

CQC is fun

ah i see you must be a regular experienced pvper with such an accurate description. its defo the bears asking for ttk to be reduced lmao

Everyone cant necessarily have the same engineering. Base game only owners cant engineer the metas and are not comparable. Personally i dont see why people cant either choose to like something or not and instead find the need to push their wants on others

I do not mind good PvP for the PvP-ers, but my personal worries lie elsewhere.
PvP always is very superficial, mostly pew pew oriented, and the game already suffers from a lack of depth as it is.

see below
my perspective is that i would like the dev time to be focused on pvp for this dlc
PP would be much more pvp orientated if it was open only as they intended originally. but we know what happened there.
RE what pvp gameplay? the wonderful thing about pvp is that you just need the right tools and envrnoment and a bit of incentive and the gameplay is created. but that requires serious dev time. which is what im saying would be good in light of all the pve focused patchhes weve had

Feet on the ground (pun intended), what we'll probably get:

  • "space legs" on the ground
  • fps weapons and related missions
  • barren atmospheric landings
  • no ELWs
  • no gas giants and water worlds (maybe late in the "season")
  • no ships insides and zero-g activities (maybe very late in the "season")
  • no stations insides wandering (maybe very very late in the "season")

still GREAT!

OK that does put some things in perspective. Giving people labels is a really poor approach to a cooperative environment

Everyone cant necessarily have the same engineering.

If it's important to them, they can

Depth which can be added fairly easily.
I would love it if I could have full on combat pilots in their ships provide escort to be in cargo runs on missions and community goals
BUT, just a like a real fighter pilot, most of your missions will not see any activity. As most of you have ground billions out of mining you lose a lot of interest in the activities of the game and that isn't surprising.
Elite Dangerous is a game you to need to put effort into to get enjoyment out of, not just sit passively and complain that the Dev's haven't put in the specific thing you just thought of, or didn't think of more often
