Community Challegne - Primates

You can inbreed harder than the Habsburgs and there won't be low welfare and protesters. That were two separate examples of possible adverse consequences. I probably should have separated them with a coma.

Personally, I still don't see how maintaining two habitats in a zoo for the same animal - one for the breeding group and one for the babies - is a better game mechanic than just implementing the live cycle as stated in the zoopedia...

I managed to breed 52 gold lemur babies yesterday, but somehow my contribution is now showing as 0 in the community challenge history window, and I didn't get a reward? What's that about?

Not that it really matters anymore. I tried franchise and didn't like it. Need to take a break from playing PZ...

That's pretty normal. After the challenge is over the shown contribution resets to 0, although it usually still shows how many rewards were claimed, and sometimes it shows your standing in the community ranking (not this time though, at least for me, but I am pretty sure I stayed in the gold bracket). Rewards are then given out at the daily reset 24h after the challenge ended (or whenever you first log into franchise after that).

I just opened the game and recieved the rewards, they said you would get albino animals, but only 1 of the 3 animals is albino

Maybe it depends on your ranking ? How did you end?

Maybe it's:
In the 3rd place category - 1 albino out of 3 animals?
In the 2nd place category- 2 albino out of 3 animals?

I hope more users post their results in this topic or Frontier giving more info on the challenge rewards

Ok, at least I tried to look for an explanation :p :p
Man... that's a lot of effort for such a poor reward.

Is it at least usable? You know good stats and a good age?
Haha, yeah red ruffed lemurs breed A LOT haha

1 albino tortoise, 1 normal tortoise and a normal croc.
I was hoping for some rare albino's, lol

Well, I got no albino animal at all:confused:

I was also ranked gold (239 animals) and I got a Bengal Tiger, a Formosan Black Bear and a Japanese Macaque. The bear and the macaque dont even have an albino form (unless I missed something) so I thought it would have to be the tiger, but no. He is of normal colour. Unlike the other animals he had 100% in each stat at least.* But I am still disappointed considering others got at least one albino.

(*Though honestly I am not even 100% sure this is the right tiger, as I still had another one in my reward storage, but I think he is, because I never noticed a 100% animal before/ but I also checked the other for colour even placed them both in a zoo in case the albino version was just not showing for a reward animal, but none of them was albino)

Same, no albino's and my rewards were a Nile Monitor and a Formosan Bear. I mean at least make the attempt at some of the more rare animals. That will be my last challenge I put any effort against for sure.

So I looked this morning and got my rewards. I was in top 9% apparently, and I got a Formosan bear (didn't check to see if it's albino) and TWO normal 75% red ruffed lemurs, which are what I was breeding as my contribution. I have about 70 of them already because of this very challenge. How amusing. Thanks Frontier (not).

Was really hoping for some albino animals and after building an entirely primate zoo and breeding 729 gold rated primates which took a lot of work to get that many trying to ensure I was in the top section and got a normal Chinese pangolin, Plains Zebra, and West African Lion. If it's advertised of being able to get albino animals I was hoping for at least one if not all 3 of them being albino because of the pure number of gold rated babies, especially when people that only bred like 200 got at least 1 albino animal....very disappointing to say the least

I bred only 66 and got an albino ostrich, normal galapagos and gorilla.

Okay can a dev explain to me the logic of how if albino animals are part of the reward someone breeding 66 gets an albino and someone breeding 729 over 10 times the amount gets no albinos? Was it just that some albinos were put into the mix and it was a random grab bag of who got what? because that seems totally unfair and frustrating for the people who put a lot of effort into it and get worse rewards?

I've only got a female Nyala and a female Aardvark (both normal colored). I wonder if it is intended like that or if it is a Bug that some People only get normal colored Animals

Rewards are given when you login after the weekly maintenance (which is now happening and lasts for another 55 minutes)
I just realised that I have never played Planet Zoo between Monday noon and the Tuesday daily reset. :D

Edit: Just looked, and only one of the three reward animals is an albino, but since it's a 4x100% Bison bull I'm not complaining.

Normal zebra and normal tortoise here, both quite good (83/83/83/83 and 92/92/100/100).
I think it's mostly chance. Some algorithm is dicing for your reward.
