I am aware of EDref but it is not a set of binds I am after.
This is exactly what I need but for the X56 instead. Which controller is this from?. If it is from the X52 or X55 it might possibly still be a help.
Oops, stupid google. I found a couple for the X-55 which I assume are the same for the X-56
I actually found a link to the same thread and came back here to post them but you beat me to it, thanks a lot and consider my question solved.
Ref card will show You what binds are on what button assigned already using the binds file you have.

I understand but I prefer to do my own binds and just wanted a map of the various Joy settings on the X56 to either keep or alter when I go through the ingame preset.Ref card will show You what binds are on what button assigned already using the binds file you have.

I have had a little test play on it and have most things the way I want them now. It does indeed need deadzones set. Never needed this feature on my old TX hotas so am wondering how much of a deadzone should I set and is it better if I do it in the Logitech calibration program or just do it in the Elite Dangerous control options?.gotcha
I set them in ED, all at around 20% as I could not be bothered to test it further, I am mostly exploring and a bit of mining outside bubble so no combat, don't need it super extra precise. Maybe you can get away with smaller, but You will have to play with it. I did not do much in logitech software tbh apart from well.. installing it really

If I had the money, I'd go with Virpil or VKB a 100%.
Logitech X56 is more affordable, but I still read lots of negative reviews for it.
Currently using Thrustmaster T.16000M with TWCS Throttle. Great setup with good button/stick layout. Doesn't feel like cheap gaming gear too much. I'd still consider the X56, but reviews aren't too promising for a price of over 250,- Euro.

Now that I've got hold of one. I can say I've not had any issues with the product. Some of the negative reviews are of the older Saitek model and are issues of software, now updated and issues with which USB port is used. I have the Virpil on the way but still do enjoy my x56. I hooked up mine to a USB hub straight away due to convienience, never tested it on mobo's USB.
As per 1600 yeah its a nice set up but it is cheap and it will break on you due to poor design sooner or later depending on usage. I agree that those poor reviews of 56 must be towards saitek. Logitech feels great and my hands are not super huge but its still comfortable enough to reach all buttoms and triggers without straining too much, even after 4 hrs of jumping, scanning and driving SRV.

And I can live with deadzones set slitly as long as I have no stupid ghost input as I did on z axis on my 1600

Also, regarding stiff throttle... massive b$. It feels perfect, acceleration on any ship in game is far slower than movement of the throttle anyway, and my old thrustmaster had hardly any resistance which felt a bit unrealistic to me.

Logitech X56 (black) is probably the best of the consumer grade HOTAS. Its far better than the other options quality wise.
I was able to consistently land fixed weapons with it (rails, plasma, fixed beams). The time on target was not as high as the VKB, but it worked.
The software on the X56 is a breeze for setting up joystick curves. There's no drivers, no virtual joysticks to load, no annoying config setup, it just works, and flashes the curves to the stick.
As black, you are referring to the one that has gray markings and not blue ones? I've seen it with red lights on pictures, but also bottom row lights on the Throttle yellow and blue on the side. Can you change the colours as such on the Logitech?
Now you got me curious about the X56. I like using quality gear, but the problem is; I don't enjoy Elite these days as much and Star Citizen is still a chore more often than not (due to bugs and glitches). How could I justify the investment...

Yes, Logitech re-did the black and silver model. It seems to work.
I have been using mine for two days now and can't understand the posts saying poor quality bla bla bla. It is certainly way better quality in feel and use than my old Thrustmaster X Hotas which lasted me 6yrs before the yaw function got so much drift it made a new buy necessary. The X56 is solid and while researching various Hotas replacements it is clear that the bad ones were the last batch of Saitek ones with the blue on black design Logitech inherited. There are three colour bands in the settings red, green and blue, each of which can be stylised giving a decent spectrum of colours including the red on the bottom and blue down the side. When I got it I followed the instructions by first installing the software downloaded from the Logitech site. As with my old Hotas I calibrated it from the Windows devices and printers screen icon. The first time I played after setting the binds I did notice that the joystick was very imprecise and thought I might test out the springs to see if that helped. After watching a review video on You Tube I decided to calibrate the X56 from the Logitech settings panel instead of in Windows and what a difference from before, now the joystick is seriously precise. I had been using a small hauler I bought for testing as I wanted to keep rebuy costs low in the event of a disaster but immediately went back and retrieved my Corvette from storage before taking a few missions and immediately flew through the letterbox as easy as going through the eye of a needle.
If you have the funds, play several flight sim/ space sim games a lot then I suppose long term the really expensive gear is good economics but if like me you play a couple of hours daily on ED or other game then the X56 is more than adequate in my opinion. Another thing not mentioned is the fact that some people are heavy handed and I suspect many of the problems written about here about faulty products etc are more to do with playing styles. I myself am very light handed and my old Hotas X lasted me 6yrs before the yaw and a somewhat imprecise hat switch made me get a new hotas. 90% or so of my old Hotas X controls are still working perfectly well after 6yrs and this in a unit that cost me £35 at the time. So with sensible use there is no reason to doubt that the X56 @ £215 should far outlast that. In fact I am 70yrs old so it will likely outlast me as well.
