Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

I have no idea how they work internally, but multiple contracts coming to term at the same time is sort of classic at my place since we get rounds of funding, etc. And people moving on just happens, so dunno, I wouldn't imagine there's anything too surprising about 4/5 people leaving or being dropped.

So, I just read some public figure in the US (we dont need to get this political, so no name) got arrested for crowdfunding a thing and suspicion of misappropriation funneling fund into his own pocket. In other words: There is hope for Chris and Ortwin to come under scrutiny.

There is not a lot of hope if people who claim that crimes are being committed do not stand up and report it to the authorities,
Instead of making excuses such as;-
"I've been asked if I would report it - I would if I thought it's a case in my jurisdiction" or "they kinda struggle with international constructs and online business" (post #4,123)

I see no reason why an Italian, Canadian, Nigerian or any other nationality can not contact the FBI / Bundeskriminalamt or National Crime Agency in the UK.
You could probably report it on the internet thingy.

or

Come on guys. and let us know if you get any reply.

Lots of people leaving Cloud Imperium at the end of this week, I'm sure this is totally normal for a game entering beta in the next six months to a year.

Well, four or five actual goodbye tweets, including the Lead Level Designer, a concept artist that's been with the company since 2014, and a Live Designer who is in charge of all the questline content in the PU.

They are all leaving the same day -- luckily Splash Damage is picking a few of them up, and the others seemed to have found better jobs as well.

In the past 10 days on the SA thread, there are 2, maybe 1, posts about a goodbye tweet from someone leaving at the end of the this week. I say maybe one, because if someone said "i'm leaving next friday" that would mean a week from tomorrow to me, not tomorrow. But we'll go with 2.

There is a post of a goodbye tweet from someone who left last week. And a random post you made about people who quit earlier in the year.

So "lots" = 2 (maybe)

Also a lot a smack talk about Elite in that thread. The moderators need to turn it up a notch and keep things on track.

Is it 3, 4 or 5, is it several or a lot?
Can you please me more specific about the actual number, so that we can draw some sensible conclusion.
When you said lots I imagined 40 or 50, that would be "lots"

It's hilarious that this speculation really bothers you.

ECity.
Do you think that Chris Robert's pathological behaviour adds up any crimes? If you do will you be reporting them to the authorities? Doing so may accelerate the eventual collapse of the project, and a criminal investigation would add interest to the surrounding drama.

Have you any insight into why people who say that there is criminal activity do not report it?

I thought I read somewhere that speculation was bad?

Maybe only when LittleAnt posts it, that must be the issue.
Speculating on possible crimes at CIG is a natural extrapolation of observed behavior. Speculating that CIG is adding roads to planets is hilarious.

Because they don't know law and have no clue what is technically legal and what isn't? Because they don't actually have incriminating evidence that would hold up in court? Because suspecting is pretty different from being fully convinced? Because being convinced isn't enough, you also need to convince a judge/jury? Or are you telling us you have personally written to the ICC to report the various dodgy head of states whose conduct these days is less than stellar?

Or maybe, because one doesn't care enough to summon the law, but is enjoying ranting about it on a forum? Or because one may feel that the victims (if they are victims) more or less deserve it having the same information available and having the opportunity to get out by themselves should they wish to? Or because it's actually personal and they refuse to do it purely to spite you?

If no explanation works for you, let me know, I'm sure I can brainstorm a few more. :D
