Just curious, if anything is planned. I know Frontier is a partner, but will their be special streams or announcements for Planet Zoo or other Frontier games?

Probably nothing Planet Zoo related considering we just had a massive update and DLC. Though they have been teasing something over on their Twitter recently....
Maybe we will get something about the DLC they worked on almost as long as on the Australia Pack. I think it will be something bigger than the other DLCs.
Also there is a Gamescom Stream planned today and the Picture of it shows a Mosasaurus that looks like the one from Jurassic World.

Ah, just seen that they've announced JWE is coming to Nintendo Switch. Don't think the announcement was supposed to be made until later on tonight. No idea if this is the thing they've been teasing on the Frontier Twitter though.
Oh, wasn't expecting anything like that to come out of it! Wonder if they have anything else up their sleeve for tonight.
We have an unknowen data app still though in the steam data base. These are only reserved for DLCs, never for minor or major updates. But I guess they will just announce their new game.
As saying above: Yet we have another unanounced dlc in the data base. And they usually don't sit their for three month.
I admit, I was hoping for them to anounce a much larger expansion pack that might come out around their anniversary. But as I said, it's probably just their new game.

Found the Stream again and found out that it isn't a official Stream so the Mosasaurus on the Picture means nothing but maybe someone is still interested

I wouldn't get your hopes up. I have no idea what that unknown app is on Steamdb either, but I highly doubt they would drop two DLCs so close together.
Actually, we did have that with JWE already. We got a new dino pack and about a month later they'd throw a major dlc out there that also added new features and game mechanics, so it's not impossible that they've planned a major update for PZ in the upcoming month or so as well.
Your own response kinda shows why there will not be two major updates so close. A dino pack and a major dlc are not two major updates. By your anecdote, it is possible they release a small animal only pack shortly before or after a major dlc. Nothing game changing.
Except that all PZ dlcs so far were called "Pack" and were animal+building content only. When I say major, game changing dlc for PZ I'm thinking aquatic species and aviarys, introducing actual new game mechanics and challenges when it comes to building a zoo with swimming and flying animals. So yes, somthing like that would still be possible.

We also had a dino pack in nov 2018 and Dr. Wu in dec which added new dinos, story+missions and genes. Oh and the Clair dlc also added the whole paleo diet thing, so that wasn't just missions and dinos either.
But I don't really expect anything big either, even if there's a possibility that it might happen. Though if they did have something planned gamescom sure would be the best platform to announce and advertise it.
Kinda sad that it seems they won't release any more dlcs for JWE. But then again didn't buy the last dlc yet, because Planet Zoo eats all my playtime anyway.
However, I'm sorry if I'm getting off topic, but dear goddess am I happy I switched game franchises. Every time I think EA can't screw up more, they surprise me and actually do. EVERY TIME.
A star wars pack... LOL. The only people who got excited over this were people who don't usually play the Sims (and therefore don't know about the countless flaws it has). And Simmers actually get space ships before they get cars. In a life simulation.
