That meme came close to promoting her to the same league as Cardi B. Talk about rubbing Carolina pepper into a raw festering wound.
How come the fanatic faithful haven't been seen sharpening pitchforks, boiling tar and plucking feathers to date? Based on what she said back then and where SC meta roadmap is to date? Is she even still wandering lost in the realm of the SC universe?

Hah, pressure. David Braben just posts during major announcements (new games, new patches), fairly regularly, even. There's rarely a few months silence from him - you just have to look at other titles as well.Founders do that sometimes - even Brabers felt the pressure and turned up in a recent stream. The lower two results are from 17 months ago. Spectrum "all time" search actually being "2 years" isn't beyond the realm of possibility though, it is awfully coded.
That could be the problem. I'm sure he was quite active early on.

I am very invested in making Star Citizen's gameplay as systemic as possible as I think this will open up so many possibilities of emergent and immersive gameplay.

The downside of this approach is that it takes longer to see results as opposed to scripting actions as you have to build the fundamental systems first and have them interact with each other before the full extent of the gameplay becomes apparent.

But for the long term, and for people's ability to lose themselves in the universe of Star Citizen for many years to come it is the approach that will have the best results.

I haven't heard of the room system (and specialy the mutable system) before. It add some complexities to all doors in ships.
Also in this post : for what CR explain about the engineer actions, he wants an operator to be able to see all rooms and components state and command all doors from a console.

He took 8000 characters to basically say, its done, but it can't really be used yet, because in order to use it, we have to refactor all the ships again.
I think that most sane devs wouldn't even considering implementing this, as it adds little value to gameplay and they would simply abstract it away. Like ED does, cockpit blown. No measuring airflow and calculating if any air left. Cockpit blown, air gone, you've got X amount of time to get to a station. Easy, simple, and light on the code and, importantly, not requiring much in the way of CPU or server power.
It sounds just like another thing that's going to eat up CPU cycles for no good reason.

One saying backers have no right to know where CR is or what he is doing.
One whose basis for his argument was that ED/DB was bad. I think i might have flummoxed him by saying "Ok, let's agree about that" and then pointed out that ED/DB has no bearing on what is happening with CR/CIG/SC.
I think they assume that if they score points against ED/DB that it somehow excuses anything bad about SC. Its a rather strange position to hold. I don't think they can comprehend someone being critical of SC without being a white knight of ED.
