Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

In the good old times where CI-g was an honest company and had given unsatisfied costumers refunds they had a strange behavior. They didn’t gave the refund in one transaction. They give the refunds back in parts. Their reason was because off the high amount of support tickets. My guess was they had to wait for an sale because they where low on cash and they could hide it in the funding tracker.

I can't help but wonder if these same people have the same attitude towards the game(s). If so, then CIG could deliver a text-based adventure game and these people would be thrilled.”
Well if they delivered text based adventure game it would need: 1. to be installed on SSD to be playable at all. 2. Have typos everywhere. 3. Possible parser would need english and sometimes votyak words, if it would work at all. 4. It would crash to desktop/console randomly and without any clear reason. 5. New chapters would be behind paywall, anything from 100$ to 10 000$. 6. It would run horribly slow. 7. It would be according to fans best text based adventure ever :D

Let's take more or less recent stories of crunch, abuse (Rockstar, CDPR, Ubisoft...), and what we can assume from CIG in terms of management and organization. How can we expect it's not as catastrophic at CIG, or even worse? Hard to find those kind of reviews totally fake.

Yeah I now what you mean. Chances are this comes from an employee who uses the review as a kind of "revenge act" and his pretty blunt expressions and tone would support that assumption just as if the guy was personally offended or something. But what he describes would explain the disorganization and results we ve seen from CIG in the last years so I wonder how much of it is exaggaration or even fake and how much is true? What I was thinking a couple lines in was "pray nobody figures out who you are....no other company will hire you"

Well if they are having crunch it hints about publishing something as MVP soon. (SQ42? SC itself?) At least somewhat normal software publisher may have such situations when product is nearing some hard defined publishing date and there still is stuff to be honed. Anyhow such work pace cannot be maintained for long.
