Those who got their second/third/fiftieth account - what's the plan?

I think some might buy Odyssey more than one time, definitely, but I firmly believe the main objective of this giveaway is to entice new players to the game and hope they buy Odyssey. I think it'll work.
However, many will wait until Odyssey becomes cheaper or even free.

I'm using my 2nd account to try out stuff that would be wasteful to get wrong - like missions with 'this may be considered illegal' in their description. Made it to noob prison twice so far...

I can tell you that the mission system is very badly designed - feels like it took them five minutes on the back of a ciggy packet

I am a huge fan of ED and love the game, despite the bugs.... I have 6 accounts....

Account 1) My main... focuses on the BGS for the PMF I am in. Currently on a detour to buy the stock of each Rare and store it on his FC.
Account 2) My second... Doesn't have an FC yet, currently doing mining to earn some extra credits. Not sure if I will get this one an FC. A bit of an allrounder. Might turn this one into my main exploration account.
Account 3) Is the Tritium hauler for the rest of my accounts FCs. Has an FC full of Tritium at the moment.
Account 4) My main Mining character. Has an FC, and have made about 4 billion just by mining Painite and selling it on his FC.

Account 5 and 6) No real plans... I reset them from time to time to see how efficient I can be in the starter area with my 5 years of knowledge of the game. I might turn one of these into an on-foot only Career character once Odyssey is released.

I mostly start the evening with an hour of mining with Account 4, then, usually turn to Account 1 to do BGS work for an hour or two. But now I am focused on Account 2 and getting some credits in.

:)

I reset my second account again today - it became a little stale and the plan is now to unlock Farseer's G5 FSD and just go out exploring with a small pad ship (ImpEagle or Cobra 3, not sure yet). Might also play Russian FC Roulette by landing on a random carrier and see where I end up next time I log on. Definitely not bothering much with engineering, and my main account is already covering the bubble so there's little point to replicate this with the second one.

I got the new account on Thursday and went strait into a Viper4 that now has a G5FSD & PD, G3 thrusters, G1PP, and a slightly beefed up hull. That process got me an invite from all of the Colonia Engineers, so I'm off to Colonia where I'll finish the requirements for them and finish off engineering. I'm thinking I'm going to keep it a one ship account and explore with it, with my main account always there for CGs or when I need to blow some stuff up.

Just curious what you have in mind for your alt CMDR... FC fuelling slave, role-playing, ironman playstyle, etc.?

My plan is FC fuelling slaves, because if you play mostly solo with a FC isn't enought cargo space for tritium to cross the galaxy and back again, and mining for tritium takes for ever if you are alone so I rather buy it. I have played this game for long time and made alot of credits that i can't use, thats why I have 17 T9 on my FC filled with 790 Tritium each, ohh and I can also fit 794 tritium on my 3 main accounts on each of them.

That's... a lot of Tritium!

I've done that twice now with my alt account (and reset it at some point after) - just didn't have the patience to see things through... the idea was (both times) to settle my alt in Colonia and max out the ship(s) via Colonia engineers, which is much less of a hassle compared to the bubble. But I got cabin fever each time and felt I wanted to go back to the bubble. Will see how this latest attempt pans out. The new starter experience is quite fun every few months so I doubt it'll be the last time I wipe the save - but this time I don't want to progress it as much as I did previously in terms of engineering, just seems a bit futile.

Beginning of the game is really fun. You have reason to do missions, earn credits that I actually need, combat is dangerous and pays quite well considering my needs...
Bubble seems gigantic and I like it. Low jump range might seem problematic when trying to get somewhere fast, but I actually enjoy the fact that I need to concentrate on my immediate surroundings.
I'm not ready to forfeit my main account, but I plan to play once in a while with this one, keeping it low profile as long as possible, having only one ship at any time. I might try to avoid engineering entirely.
I was thinking about ironman, but I just died during "disable megaship turret" mission (although just after completing it) and didn't erase my save, so... not so iron is my man.

Got to say this sounds like actual work and makes me glad I'm not really into the BGS (even though I like the principle on paper).

Will be interesting to see if the above will still be possible after the rebalancing, it does sound a bit obscene if I'm honest. What are you doing with all those credits?
The last major BGS change killed any chance of reviving my interest in BGS.

After the rebalance, I expect that wing trade missions will still be profitable, if not more so! After buying a carrier, I have about 20B credits between the 3 accounts. They pay for tritium and minor faction reputation. Aside from that, the game doesn't offer anything else to use the credits. I have the ships I need for combat, trade, and exploration on all three accounts. At one point, I considered buying another carrier but I've had to scale back my game time, so I no longer have the time or need for a second carrier to support a squadron. Hopefully, the game will offer a meaningful outlet for the credits.

Wait... what? How? Those 17 ships are not yours, are they...?
I'm confused here.

My plan is to do some mining and give the second account the profits. I will then buy and outfit an Andsconda and engineer it for exploration. This account probably will not ever come back to the bubble.

Shes in the bubble, I'm in Colon Town.

Well, to each their own, I guess. I just have my one main account and if I want to experiment or try something different out, I just go and dump a bunch of money for the ship I need and go do it. With so much money in the game there's really nothing to stop players from trying all sorts of different things. Money might not buy happiness but in Elite Dangerous it sure as hell buys freedom to do what you want!

Which change was that, out of interest? Am not really up to speed with the BGS...

I know I'll never get a FC for my alt account. Grinding the credits (relatively speaking, I only did as much as I had to) even during the Borann/New-Borann mining hey-days felt like hard work. I'll likely keep it similar to @Florenus - lightly engineered (mainly for range) and single ship only. It's a very different playstyle and quite enjoyable being 'poor' in the game for a change.

I'm planning to do something similar but with a small ship - G5 the FSD sure, but jump range doesn't really matter when the expectation is to not come back to the bubble for the foreseeable future. I tried the Anaconda approach before (I even named the CMDR 'Ana Conda' hur hur) but I got bored/irritated with the ship's unwieldiness in SC and landing on bumpy planet surfaces being a pain. Small ships FTW personally.
